From the Director Dear Friends, It would have been hard to imagine at the beginning of 2018 that Lilyfield would grow as much as we did. Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” That verse rang true for us this past year. Through the strategic planning process, the board created a roadmap to bring Lilyfield’s work full circle as we implemented foster care prevenon services. We had a vision for strengthening families and serving the most vulnerable children and families at all stages of crisis. But the Lord directed our steps as an agency. We connue our foster care and adopon services and providing support to families through counseling. Now we also provide a variety of services for at-risk children with the launch of our EmpowerOKC program. We grew from 15 staff members to 22 and served 662 clients last year. You were a part of our renewed vision in 2018. We had 323 volunteers serve with us in 2018. These individuals provided support and care for the children and families that we serve. Our partners and stakeholders displayed significant financial generosity to Lilyfield in 2018. We raised over $600,000 in charitable donaons from individuals, business, churches and foundaons. It is a tremendous blessing to be giſted with your financial resources and we take seriously the responsibility to steward those well. I hope you will find this report to be informave and encouraging. We could not connue in our work without the support of each one of you. From the Director

Dear Friends,

It would have been hard to imagine at the beginning of 2018 that Lilyfield would grow as much as we did. Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” That verse rang true for us this past year.

Through the strategic planning process, the board created a roadmap to bring Lilyfield’s work full circle as we implemented foster care prevention services. We had a vision for strengthening families and serving the most vulnerable children and families at all stages of crisis. But the Lord directed our steps as an agency. We continue our foster care and adoption services and providing support to families through counseling.

We raised over $600,000 in charitable donations from individuals, business, churches and foundations. It is a tremendous blessing to be gifted with your financial resources and we take seriously the responsibility to steward those well.

I hope you will find this report to be informative and encouraging. We could not continue in our work without the support of each one of you.

Sincerely,

Holly Towers, LCSW

Executive Director

Placement Stability for Foster Children

We know the importance of stability for the welfare of our foster children. Our 2018 goal was to have 85% of our foster children have 2 or fewer moves. The actual number was much better with 100% having 2 moves or fewer.

“We stay in touch with Fin’s birth mom and biological father and send pictures and updates. It has certainly been an emotional journey; we did not expect or plan to adopt a child with special needs but this little boy has forever changed our lives for the better.”

“We started thinking last summer as we bought our first house about the next step for us and what our story would look like, and foster care was it. Once we got that in our heads, it became part of our prayer... We have worked alongside Lilyfield for thirteen months now and we are so thankful each day for the way foster care has moved us.”

“In this photo you see brothers, our sons. Not by blood, but by so much more than that. They are brothers because of love, sacrifice, and grace. Because of a loving sacrifice made by two women, these boys were given life, parents, and each other. By the grace of God, these boys are brothers. We are so thankful that Lilyfield was there to help us all find each other.”
