AIESEC Moldova | Annual Report 2013-2014
Presidents MessageAIESEC, as the biggest youth-led organization in the world, has been having a significant impact in Moldova since its foundation, by enabling thousands of young people to live practical experiences, developing on the youth a global and proactive mindset towards the society where we live in.
This year we are pleased to know that we leave a better organization, enabling the next national board to start with a growth in organizational results with all local committees well established aligned with international standards and, finally, financially sustainable to run the necessary operations throughout the next year.
We deeply believe that AIESEC Moldova will continue to play a crucial role in the development of the country, and that our more than 150 voluntary members will lead and be a role-model for the remaining youth in Moldova.
Dear AIESECers,
As we all know AIESEC is the biggest run by student’s organization in the world, but more importantly it is organization that is making a huge progress in terms of innovations and developing young leaders. We do that through all of our various programs and projects. Moreover, one of the key elements of our success is the fact that we strongly believe that the youth should be pro-active and responsible for building our future and shaping the way the world is developing.
From my personal perspective AIESEC in Moldova is one of the main providers of various opportunities within the NGO sector. As evidence to that I can share that more and more corporate and non-corporate organizations are approaching us and seeing the relevance we have in the society.
From the behalf of Member Committee team for year 2014/2015, I would like to say that we strongly believe that we will continue this tradition to be role – models and share our vision with more and more young students across the whole country.

I was honoured to lead AIESEC Chișinău during the term of 2013-2014. In this period I had the possibility to work with an outstanding Executive Board, a high-motivated Local Committee and a visionary National Team in order to bring AIESEC Chișinău and AIESEC Moldova to a new level in its development.
This year was remarkable for a record number of people involved in AIESEC Chișinău activities, the overall satisfaction of our customers (members and project participants) and for the fact that after a long period of time, AIESEC Chișinău is finally financial sustainable.
As for memorable moments, I can recall two impactful Local Training Seminars, the 10th anniversary edition of UpGreat and also the program Weekend School.
President of AIESEC Chișinău,Artur Mija.
Our biggest goal for this term was not the numbers, but a long term success, by having our members more internationally connected. We focused on this aspect in our office, which is an important AIESEC objective in general, to bring international experience for it's members.
We promoted the international conferences among our members, and it was not important to be an AIESEC conference, it was important to be international. We tried to get them as much involved as possible, so that they can develop their mindset and think globally. And we did it. This mandate was very special for me and AIESEC Balti. We brought a new project called “Happy Children”, we realized our 1st professional internship in the last 3 years; and half of our members lived an international experience.
President of AIESEC Balti,Nadejda Papazean
President of AIESEC Cahul,Calin Ștefan

The Volunteering Program is an opportunity for young people to travels across the world to go through a cultural learning experience while working for projects that aim to create positive impact in the society. This year, due to a bigger focus on our financial sustainability, we provided less of these experiences. Despite that, we are already planning and developing social projects that will enable us to provide more internships as we did in the recent past.

UpGreat is a project created by AIESEC Chisinau that in its tenth edition was also organized by AIESEC Cahul, through the sponsorship of the U.S. Embassy.
The project aims to encourage the implementation of civic initiatives by high schools students, providing a practical experience that it is not acquired through the formal education in schools.
This year, UpGreat had a broader impact, where 22 projects were implemented, by more than 250 high school students. The projects were realized in different fields, from fundraising to orphanages to renewing public spaces, among many others.
For the first time in Moldova, the project provides international volunteers to educational centers and kindergartens in the country. The main goal is to promote cultural understanding, where the volunteers will be focused on delivering topics such as English skill, arts and craftsman, soft skills, public speaking and group activities. Through the IK we have signed on three exchange partners in Chisinau and other three by AIESEC Cahul. We count to receive between 5 to 10 volunteers in this first edition, that will be realized during the Summer.
