ANNUAL REPORT 2019
Dear Friends of Aldersbridge Communities:
Even though our Annual Report is produced each summer to provide a retrospective look at the prior year, we can’t help but comment on the current state of affairs at Aldersbridge Communities. The year 2020 has been an unprecedented time in our organization as the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold.
COVID-19 has challenged us on many fronts. From nursing, infection control and housekeeping to human resources, finance and operations, no resident, employee, family member, Trustee nor vendor was spared from being affected. The way of life at our Communities changed in what literally felt like overnight.
In the face of adversity, our workforce demonstrated their resilience. Heroic nursing, dietary and housekeeping staff volunteered to care for those isolated in our COVID Unit. Executive team members took on laundry, mail and screening duties. Everyone embraced virtual meetings as the new norm along with wearing face coverings. Donations of meals, gift cards, hand-sewn masks, gowns, and funds were received by generous and thoughtful strangers and friends to help us pay for unexpected expenses.
Your unwavering support and prayers lift us up in more ways than you know, and are much appreciated. Together, we will face whatever may come our way.

On another day, 25 WPRI employees spent the afternoon with residents playing corn hole, bingo, trivia and bowling as part of their Day of Caring. ARBOR HILL, ST. GERMAIN &WINSLOW GARDENSHighlights
Arbor Hill Youth Art ProgramAssisted Living Aldersbridge Trustee Jodi Glass had a vision to bring Youth Pride together with Arbor Hill residents to build companionship and create opportunities for the two generations to find common interests. Each week, youth (many of whom were missing their own grandparents) were paired with elder residents to work on artwork while socializing. Staff members were pleased to see the meaningful connections being made, saying some of the elders never spoke as much as they did during the art sessions.
St. Germain ClambakeAssisted Living St. Germain Administrator David Rankin and staff cooked up a classic clambake feast with all the trimmings for residents to enjoy. They ate lobster with drawn butter, corn on the cob, clams, chicken, sausages, and potatoes plus dessert. This summer tradition lives on!

Harvest Time Fair Winslow Gardens and its adjoining sister community, Linn Health & Rehabilitation, were once again transformed into a festive and colorful shopping mecca – just in time for holiday gift-buying needs. The annual 2019 Harvest Time Fair featured a bake shop, handmade crafts, White Elephant area, and more. The ever-popular liquor basket and shopping cart raffles also helped to raise funds for the housing, elder care and activities programming at both communities.
Winslow Gardens Parking Lot GrantAssisted Living and Independent LivingVisitors and guests traveling to Winslow Gardens or Linn Health & Rehabilitation were greeted with bold, color-coded directional signage and a freshly paved and striped parking lot. Thanks to a grant which funded the project, the curb appeal has been greatly improved. Bright signs and new awnings over the main doorways replace the long-faded signs. The lot was
reconfigured to include van-accessible handicapped, visitor, resident and staff parking. All spots were renumbered with paint to match the branding of each community. The result is ease of navigation, a more welcoming feeling and sense of place within the neighborhood. The crowning achievement was the debut of the newly wrapped shuttle van, featuring colorful images and sporting the
new logos of all four communities. Residents love going out in it!
We enhance the well-being of those we serve with compassion, care, and dignity.
