RULES OF COMPETITION

1. All stock must be bona fide property of Exhibitors at date of entry and must continue to be so until date of show. 2. No sheep may be shown more than once except in the Championship class. The same sheep cannot be shown as a single and again the in the Pens of Three. 3. The Judge to pay special attention to the Purity of Blood, Symmetry of Form and Fitness for Breeding purposes, rather than superiority of Weight and Condition. 4. No appeal to be competent after Judge’s decision. 5. All pedigrees and ear tattoos given in the catalogue are the sole responsibility of the seller.

BORDER LEICESTER

The Council of the Society of Border Leicester Sheep Breeders desires to

bring to the notice of the general public that no Certificate will be issued by

the Society for any animal purchased for export unless said animal is

examined and passed by the Society’s Inspection Panel.

In accordance with the request by the Society of Border Leicester Sheep

Breeders a levy of 1.75 per cent, of all sales of Border Leicester Sheep sold

at the three - figure prices, will be deducted from Sales and remitted to the

Secretary of the Society.

All consignors of Rams & Ram Lambs are advised that stock purchased into

the Shetland Isles are subject to a compulsory CLA test. Any animals failing

this initial test will be returned and hence the purchaser will be entitled to a

full refund from the seller.
