GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Annulus Pressure Relief System is a versatile concept
designed and developed as a reliable casing annuli pressure
protection system e.g. high-pressure onshore and offshore well
stimulation.
The Annulus Pressure Relief System has been developed to
meet the high standards and criteria for oil and gas well
stimulation in the North Sea and onshore in Kazakhstan.
The Annulus Pressure Relief System is easy to install, simple to
use with very low maintenance requirements. All parts are
manufactured of stainless steel and manufactured in
accordance with the highest standard and quality, consistently
controlled and tested at each stage of the production.
TESTIMONY
Senior Lead Engineer Jakob Monberg, Maersk Oil:
Maersk Oil has over the years done thousands of stimulations
worldwide. We started with what the service companies
provided as relief mechanism i.e. the spring operated or
Nitrogen operated systems. However, we were not happy with
the performance. The provided systems were not reliable. They
went of either at too high or too low pressure. Therefore, we
contacted MARK & WEDELL to make the Annulus Pressure
Relief System based on burst discs. Throughout the years, we
have been very pleased with the system.
