ANR/CED Extension Internship Program
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The ANR/CED Extension Internship Program
is designed to offer undergraduate students an
opportunity to work closely with an Extension
professional over a ten week period.
2019 INTERN ASSIGNMENTS
Animal Science Equine Project-Tennessee Master Horse and Junior Master Horse Programs curriculum. Agricultural & Resource Economics-Collection and analysis of socio-economic commu-nity data. Biosystems Engineering & Soil Science –Develop a ‘Tennessee Water Toolkit” for UT Ex-tension Agents, Specialists and partnering agency professionals. Davidson County/Governor’s Residence—Summer programs in STEM, gardening, healthy living, and/or outdoor classroom activities. Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries-Collect data and evaluate Natural Resource Extension Initia-tives associated with Forest Landowner Education. Plant Science-Contribute to the statewide varie-ty trials that serve both adult and youth audiences. Union County Farmers Market Project—PTP products exhibit and promotion.

INSIDE THE INTERNSHI P During the internship the student will have the
opportunity to gain experience by working on a
specific Extension project within either an aca-
demic department or county Extension office.
These projects are designed to help the intern
further develop understanding of the program
area in UT Extension to which the intern is
assigned. The internship will begin on May 21,
2020 and conclude on July 30, 2020.

Oklahoma, South Carolina, and other
cities within Tennessee.”
