From those who saw:

Luca Toni: "He wanted to make clear to us that he can drop any player from team. It was all the same to him because, as he said, he had the balls. He demonstrated this literally by dropping his pants. I have never experienced anything like it, it was totally crazy. Luckily I didn’t see a lot, because I wasn’t in the front row.”

Mark van Bommel: "He tried to explain to the team that when he made a substitution, he did so for the sake of the team, not for himself. He asked me to translate his point to the players, but after several attempts he thought I hadn’t done it well enough. So he tried to make the point in his own way. By dropping his pants. But later this moment was often parodied by us"

Louis van Gaal: “I once dropped my pants in front of the entire squad. Because I wanted to make clear: when I make a substitution, I don’t do so for my own ego, but for the sake of the team. I do everything for the team and I use everything I can to illustrate that. My voice, my mind, and everything else I’ve got. This shows the strength of our team sprit.”

“Once Brothers” is a 2010 sports documentary film written and directed by Michael Tolajian.

The film chronicles the relationship of two basketball players from SFR Yugoslavia. The duo played together on theYugoslavia national basketball team from 1986 to 1990 and were at one time close friends, but the Yugoslav Wars drove them apart emotionally, as they came from opposing sides. One of them died in an automobile accident in 1993 before the two could reconcile; much of film focuses on the other’s regret that they were never able to resolve their differences

Made of 22 carat gold-plated solid silver & stands on an octagonal base made of jatiwood (Java teak wood), the body is in the form of a sporting equipment and is surmounted by a replica of the Borobudur Temple. The handles are in the shape of stamens, symbolising the seeds of the sport.
