SEDE VACANTE is a heavy melodic Goth Rock/Metal band from Greece formed in 2013 which consisted of Michael Tiko (male vocals,

guitars and synths)  and Constantine Alex (female vocals). Both members are highly educated in music - with Michael Tiko having studied at Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA (Master in Guitar P e r f o r m a n c e ) a n d Constantine Alex having studied in The National Academy of Music “Prof. Pantcho V lad igerov” , Sofia, Bulgaria.  

Both members have got an extensive live experience. Tiko was  the lead guitarist of the Goth/Power metal b a n d “ R a g e o f Romance” ( feat. Vicky Psarakis in vocals,The Agonist) and also played as a session guitarist in many local bands, even in the Jazz genre. Alex  has been singing for more than 10 years and been a session vocalist in numerous swing, jazz and rock bands.

 The logo and the band’s symbol were made by Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Firewind etc).

“Skies Infernal” is their debut album, which was released from Pride & Joy Music (Germany) on November 18th, 2016. The record was mixed by the famous drummer and sound engineer Fotis Benardo (ex- Septic Flesh, Six4Nine) at Devasounz

Studios, Athens, Greece and mastered by the huge Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios) in Örebro, Sweden. The first video from the debut album was taken from the track “Hate Eternal” and was welcome with excitement from fans and youtube viewers with over 6.000 views even from the first week of publishing, even for a yet unknown band!!! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwvZ2Vq86WM).

The duo became a quartet since the entrance of Jim Siou (Bass) and Janni K (Drums) at the beginning of 2017. This is the current line up that supported DELAIN and SIRENIA on their first live appearance in Athens at the 27th of January 2017, that left the greatest impression on the press and fans. 2

the second video from “Skies Infernal”, Shepherd and Lamb”, was published on Youtube showing the heavier side of the band and exceeding easily its predecessor in views (https://youtu.be/Vl6FJwmbaH8). SV appeared on the 29th of June 2017 as the opening act for EVANESCENCE in Romania (Arenele Romane) and they got extremely nice reviews, since the crowd’s reaction was beyond any expectation. , 3 4

As a result on November 2017 the band managed to become a member of the Italian and highly acclaimed management and booking agency of ALPHA OMEGA Management.

SV also was chosen among the best female fronted greek bands to perform on the 9th of March 2018 in Athens at the largest and most famous (also exclusively female fronted) festival in Greece the “Voices of the Mist”, achieving to impress the audience and the press with its amazing appearance. 5
