    brings them to us for our opening assembly around 6:30 AM. I want to compliment

    I would like to give a shout out to John Norris at the Help Desk. I was having

    trouble with my family access Skyward login and he so patiently walked me

    through the process of setting up a new account. The best part was he helped me at

    5:30!!! Thank you John for working late and helping teachers like me solve

    problems!!!! I'm sure I will be needing your help again in the future.

    As the start of the new school year approached, my daughter pulled out the first

    grade memory book Mrs. Akers sent home with each child and flipped through the

    pages. She said, "Mom, I was so lucky to have Mrs. Akers." Whether it was

    creating amazing Indian costumes, getting a visit from the Grinch, creating a

    biome, celebrating Mickey's birthday or having reading time with the lamp on the

    rug, Mrs. Akers goes above and beyond with her hands-on teaching many times

    giving extra of her person time and money so the kids have an extra special year.

    Mrs. Luppy was Elizabeth's fifth grade teacher, Elizabeth, now a senior at Richland

    High School, needed some extra credit quick for a dual credit UTA course. She

    and some friends needed to do some community service but it was July 4th

    weekend, they couldn't find anyone to help. Mrs Luppy to the rescue!! She went

    out of her way to deliver gloves, vests and paperwork so the students could pick up

    her Adopt A Spot and get the credit they needed. 5th grade or Senior, Once a

    Luppy student, always a Luppy student!!!

    Tell us how this person has positively touched the life of you or your child:

    I was lucky enough to have Ms. Stone in 3rd grade at Foster Village in 1990. Ms.

    Stone is not only a fabulous teacher, but also a wonderful friend. I knew she was

    special in 3rd grade, but that was just the beginning. She was at my high school

    graduation, helped me with my college coursework, came to my graduation

    celebration when I earned my master’s degree, and over the summer we had lunch

    so that she could meet my son! The world would definitely be a better place if we

    had more teachers like Ms. Stone. Thank you for being a part of my life!

    Mr. Campbell has gone out of his way to include my special students. When my

    kids go to his class for inclusion PE he engages them and makes them feel special.

    He does a great job working with the Special Ed students and he doesn't shy away

    from them. I always felt secure knowing my kids were in his class!

    Two kids in my class were fortunate enough to get to go into Mrs. Ristow's for

    inclusion this year. From the very beginning Mrs. Ristow was nothing but

    welcoming, kind, and eager. She has shown the children, and their teachers,

    nothing but the upmost respect. She treated the kids just like she would any of her

    other students. Thanks to her hard work and dedication we have seen the children

    continue to flourish and make great strides. From all of us in Mrs. Brown's class

    Every year Buildings & Grounds has the General Assembly in the Shannon and

    every year Jessie does all the work, coming in early to start the coffee, set the

    tables up, then takes it all down, cleans it up, we just have all the supplies ready for

    him. I want to compliment him on his positivity, willingness to go beyond the call

    of duty and Christ-like servitude... Buildings and Grounds couldn't do without

    Jessie. Thanks for making it happen, again!!!
