be announced by the Worship Leader and portions will also be shown on

Following the 11:15 am service, Rev. Anita Hahn will be in the Chapel to

Following the 9 am service, Rev. Susan Kingsley will be in the Chapel to
meet with those who have prayer needs.

Join us in “The Walk to Emmaus”
The Walk to Emmaus, based on Luke 24:13-35, is three
days (Thursday night through Sunday afternoon) of
experiencing New Testament Christianity as a lifestyle. It is
a highly structured event designed to strengthen and renew faith.
Mid-Michigan Emmaus is offering a Men’s Walk from Sept. 26-29 and a
Women’s Walk from Oct. 3-6 at Faith UMC in Coleman. Contact

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Thursday, Oct. 3 ● 1 pm ● Little Theater
The Prayer Shawl Ministry makes shawls and lap robes
which offer comfort to receivers, symbolizing caring
and peace to those in pain, grief, isolation or illness
but also, joy and delight to those experiencing new beginnings.
The group meets on the first Thursday of each month. New members
are always welcome to join this outreach ministry which is part of
United Methodist Women. For more information, call Carole at

Ringing Opportunities for
All Ages and Abilities
Interested in learning or dusting off your music
skills? The FUMC handbell program has many
opportunities for children, youth, and adults to
participate and share the joyous sound of bells. Scheduled 2019-20
dates for ringing are on the church website, fumcmidweb.org.
Prime Chimers This choir is primarily for children in1st-5th grades who
have little or no music knowledge. The ability to focus for 45 minutes is
required. Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 4:15-5 pm in the Little Theater.
Start Date: Oct. 2.
Genesis Ringers This is a beginning bell choir, for youth (6th-12th
grades) and adults, where some basic music knowledge is required.
Previous chime or bell experience is NOT required. Rehearsals:
Wednesdays, 5:15-6 pm in the Bell Room. Start Date: Oct. 2.
Joyful Bells This is an advanced bell choir for youth and adults,
where ringers have a full understanding of music as a requirement.
Previous ringing experience is encouraged, but not required.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 8-9:15 pm in the Bell Room. Starting Date:
Oct. 3.

Carillon Choir This is an advanced bell choir for adults with a full
understanding of music as a requirement. Rehearsals: Wednesdays,
1-2:30 pm in the Bell Room. Director: Connie Nicholson.
UMCOR responds to
Hurricane Dorian damage
The United Methodist Committee on Relief has
already responded to the damage caused by Hurricane Dorian to
the Bahamas and are in close contact with Conference Disaster
Response Coordinators in Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Contributions can be made online at www.umcor.org or by check to
FUMC for international relief and recovery efforts in the Bahamas and
the United States. One hundred percent of all contributions go to
their designated projects.
