DAY 1
23rd Sep 2019 (Monday)
Session 1
The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Centre Malappuram inaugurated 1-week
Student Induction Programme titled “Deeksharambh” in the Moot Court Hall, Department of Law,
AMU MC which was scheduled to be held from 23rd-28th of September, 2019. The First Session
of the programme began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Mr. Abu Bakr, final
year student of B.A.LL.B (Hons.). Mr. Ghalib Nashter (Co-ordinator, Department of Law)
presented the welcome address. He advised the students not to deviate from the path of studies. Dr.
Faisal K. P. (Director, AMUMC) inaugurated the induction programme and encouraged students to
inculcate required professional skills as well as value based education.
Dr. Mohammed Basheer K. (Co-ordinator, Department of Education) while emphasising realities
of life told the students about the importance of focusing on aim which can only be achieved through
proper time management. Mr. Ahsan Sadiq (Assistant Professor, Department of Business
Administration) addressed the students and emphasised over learning and defined learning as the
permanent change in behaviour with experience. Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik (Teacher-in charge,
Student induction programme) told students to develop good company and atmosphere among you.
You will get fragrance in garden and it will purify your mind and heart. Ms. Neelam Faizan
(Teacher-in charge, Student Induction Programme) while presenting the Vote of Thanks explained
the six days schedule of Student Induction Programme. She also told that it's a great initiative by the
UGC for the students to get familiarity with the institution and to develop social and humanitarian
feelings. Anchoring for this session was done by Mr. Mohd. Hammad Siddiqui, 4th year student of
B.A.LL.B (Hons.)
Session 2
The Second Session of Student Induction Programme (SIP) was based on administrative training to
the students. Dr. Raziur Rahim (Assistant Proctor) spoke about the discipline and behavior of the
students. He explained the rules and regulations of the Proctor Office. Dr. Najmudheen T.
(Assistant DSW) explained different types of scholarship schemes to students. Mr. Mohammad
Abu Shahid (Provost, Halls of Residence) addressed the students about the rules of the hostel. He
stressed on importance of adjusting in various cultures. Mr. Mohd Ahazam Khan (Assistant
Registrar, AMUMC) addressed the students about the procedure and formalities of the administrative
office. Mr. Mohd Shakeel Ahmad (Assistant Professor, Department of Law) proposed the Vote of
thanks and concluded the Induction Programme for the day. Anchoring for this session was done by

DAY 2
24th Sep 2019 (Tuesday)
Session I
The second day of the Student Induction Programme began with the recitation of the verses
from surah Ar-Rahman by Mr. Mohammad Umair Siddiqui, first year student of B.A.LL.B (Hons.)
Mr. Syed Ahmed Saad (Asst. Professor, Department of Business administration) spoke
about the life of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. He highlighted the condition of Indian Muslims in that
period and how Sir Syed Ahmed Khan reformed this condition. Mr. Mohd Shakil Ahmad (Asst.
Professor, Department of law) addressed the students about the traditions of AMU. He recalled the
times when an Alig was recognized for his behaviour and asked the students to carry forward the
legacy. Mr. Mohd Abu Shahid (Asst. Professor, Department of law) explained the meaning of
secularism to the students and stressed about the importance of cultivating the feeling of brotherhood
in our hearts). Dr. Faisal K. P. (Director, AMUMC) briefed the students about the history of AMU
Centre, Malappuram and spoke about the role of different personalities in the establishment of this
university centre.
Session 2
Mr. Shahnawaz Ahmed (Asst Professor, Department of Law) gave students some important
information about the exams and marking system of the importance. He urged the students to
maintain the required attendance. Dr. Mohammed Hasan (Asst professor, Department of
Education) listed out the different sports facilities available in the campus. He spoke about the annual
sports fest which is held every year in the campus.
Dr. Raghul V. Rajan (Asst Professor, Department of Law) interacted with the students on
how to develop their personality and stressed on the fact that good personality is the need of the time.
Mr. Bilal Ahmad Shaikh (Asst Professor, Department of law) proposed the Vote of Thanks.

year students of B.A.LL.B (Hons.)
DAY 3
25th September, 2019 (Wednesday)
Yoga/ Exercise Session
The 3rd day of the Student Induction Programme began at 6:30 in the morning by a
Yoga/Exercise Session by Mr. Haris C. (Assistant Professor, Department of Education). Simple
postures and concentration techniques were taught that helps in developing strength, agility and
coordination. Students gained knowledge on the importance of meditation and different types of
asanas.
Session 1
The official programme began at 10:00 AM with the recitation of Holy Quran by Mr.
Mohammad Umair Siddiqui, first year student of B.A.LL.B (Hons).
Dr.Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik (Asst Professor Department of Law) spoke about the legacy of AMU
law faculty. He gave a brief note on the achievements of alumni of AMU law faculty. He also spoke
the importance of Law Society in the Department of Law.
Ms. Neelam Faizan (Asst Professor, Department of Law) briefed the students about the need of
legal aid cell. She stressed on the fact that “Education is incomplete unless it has any social
objective”
Mr. .Shefeeque Rahman K. V. (Co-ordinator, Department of Business administration) gave
a seminar on the topic “How to live longer” and advised the students to maintain good
relationships,avoid family problems and grudges with any one.
Mr. Mohd Azam Khan, first year student of B.A.LL.B (Hons.) proposed the vote of thanks
and concluded the first session.
Session 2
The second session was colourful and filled with talents of students. The session was
anchored by Ms. Aliya Arif and Ms. Mehnaz Khatoon. The crowd was entertained by the shayris of
Mr.Umair Siddique, Mr. Malik Usaid, Mr. Uvaid Ansari, and Mr. Syed Razi Ahmed. Some beautiful
voices of Mr. Mohd Azeem, Mr. Fahiyan, Mr. Junaid Raza were also heard. An English poem was
recited by Ms. Aliya Arif.
The special event of the day was by Mr. Sayam Hussain with the guitar in his hands. A melodious
ghazal was also sung by Mr. Asif Mahmood Mir.
A game of tongue twister with a twist of reading legal maxims was conducted by Mr.
Ghalib Nashter (Co-ordinator, Dept. of Law, AMU MC) was the judge for the game. The vote of
thanks was proposed by Ms. Aliya Arif and thus the day came to an end. Dr.Shahnawaz Ahmed
Malik and Ms. Neelam Faizan were the teacher in-charge(s) of the cultural programme.
DAY 4
26th September, 2019 (Thursday)
The Chief Guest for the day was Ms. Farha Naaz Parween who had qualified UP PCSJ 2018 and
became the first judge from AMU MC. The welcome address was given by Mr. Ghalib Nashter
(Co-ordinator, Dept of Law, AMU MC). He said that said that Farha's success is testimony to the
quality education and student mentoring at the Malappuram Centre. In the Presidential address Dr.
Faisal K. P. (Director, AMU MC) congratulated Ms. Farha Naaz for her achievement and bringing
fame to the university centre. He said that Farha's success story has inspired and motivated students.
The Felicitation address was given by Mr. Shefeeque Rahman K. V. (Co-ordinator, Department of
business administration)
Ms Farha, who clawed her way to success with sheer dedication, die-hard determination,
commitment and proper guidance from teachers, urged students to have self-study routines for
qualifying competitive exams. "One of the major advantages of self-study is that students can take
control over their own learning. It can be hard to get into the self-study right routine, but with the
right approach, anyone can set themselves up with an unbreakable study routine," said Farha.
"I did not attend a regular coaching for my exam preparation," said Ms. Farha adding that she
comes from a UP Board schooling background during an interaction with students. She emphasized
on hard work and smart work aimed at achieving goals with quality to qualify competitions. Giving
the credit of her success to the teachers at the Department of Law, Malappuram Centre; Farha also
shared tips for successful competitive exams preparation with the students.
Dr.Azmat Ali (Asst. Professor, Department of law) gave an introduction to the mentor-
mentee system and interacted with the students. He stated that the mentoring process will help the
students to create a kind of relationship with the teachers that will help them boost their academic
growth without many issues.
Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Mohd Shakil Ahmed (Asst. Professor, Dept. of law) and
marked the end of the day.

DAY 5
27th September, 2019 (Friday)
A One-Day Literary Activity was conducted for the B.A.LLB first year Students of the
Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Centre Malappuram on 27th September, 2019. There
were three literary events namely Speech competition, Extempore and Essay writing Competition as
a part of one-day literary Activity in which students participate whole heartedly. This literary
Activity was held in the Moot Court Room of the Department of Law, AMUMC between 09:30 a.m.
& 12:30 p.m.
A speech competition was held on the topic “Unity in Diversity in India” in which 12
students participated. The first three rank holders were given the token of appreciation. After
concluding with extempore event the students were given the topic “The Role of Media in 21st
Century World” for Essay Writing Competition in which 22 students participated. Below are the
names of the students who were declared toppers in the speech competition and the Essay writing
competition respectively.

The said events were useful and of great benefit to the students. The Events provided an opportunity
to the students to show their skills as the speaker and the writer. The Extempore Event also helped
them to know their own presence of mind.
DAY 6
28th September, 2019 (Saturday)
On the last day of the Student Induction Programme, the students were taken to Nilambur for picnic.
Ms. Neelam Faizan, Mr. Bilal Ahmad Sheikh and Advocate Alinihas V. accompanied the students.
Students along with the teachers started their journey from the campus to the Cherukara station by
the Centre’s bus. From the Cherukara station they travelled to Nilambur Station. For many it was the
first experience of travelling in a passenger train.
From the station everyone went to Teak Museum in jeeps. Famous for being the world's first
teak museum, this place is nature's most fascinating marvel. It is a place where one can get a whole
bibliography about the teak wood including its history, culture, scientific information and aesthetic
detail. After having lunch everyone went to Adyanpara Waterfalls which was a beautiful and
pleasant area. The Deeksharambh concluded with this tour.
