From this month three staffs (2 care taker & driver) are provided with Breakfast Allowance, because they are starting their work during early morning hours. New Admission Shalini, 9 Years, D/o Shanmugam, Mansurabath Village & Post, Polur Taluk, Tiruvannamalai, Mobile: 9787425031 got admitted on 20 th June in our learning center for her development. Baby. Manopriya, 6 Years, Date of Birth: 05.02.2005, D/o Arumugam - Farmer / Valli – Anganwadi Worker, Malaimettu Street, Boodhamangalam Village and Post, Tiruvannamalai, Mobile: 8144831813. The child is born for the 1 st degree consanguinity parents, Manopriya is the first child of the parents, she has one younger sister, she is with normal health. Manopriya born in the home delivery with full term, the child cried after 30 minutes of the birth, the relatives noticed that the child hands are blue in color. The prenatal history shows that the father undergone sperm development treatment, during the third month pregnancy the mother got stress due to the family problem. Manopriya is with the complaints Cerebrally Palsied and Mentally Retarded. The child has speech problem also, the parents took native treatment at first. At present they are under the treatment of Siddha Medical practice and Unani Medical Treatment Practice. The child got admitted in our Learning Center on 27 th June 2011.

Baby. Selvamageswari, 3 years, Date of Birth: 12.01.2008, referred by Abishekapriyan’s mother through Government Scheme Vazhikatti, pilot survey. The family is living in 3/274 Pillaiyar Koil Street, Melmalayanur Village and Post, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, Mobile: 9380978446, the baby admitted on 28th June 2011. Baby. Kathiravan, 4 years, S/o Sampath, living in Melmalayanur Road, Avalurpet, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, Mobile: 8124759544, with the complaints of Cerebrally Palsied and Mentally Retarded got admitted in our learning center on 29th June 2011. The boy Poongavanam, 13 Years, with the complaints of Mentally Retardation, S/o Samy Durai, Mettuvialamur Village, Mobile: 9566870229 got admitted in our Learning Center on 30th June 2011. The boy Syed Irfan and relatives came to our Learning Center on 16th June 2011 seeking admisstion. The primary assessment took place, as they are living (far away) out of our vehicle coverage area his admission is under waiting list. We informed to the relatives to explore the possibilities to bring the child to our learning center. Long Absentees: 05 Children Sudhakar went to his relative house from 1st to 10th, 14th & 15th June. Vijay absent for 11 days (1,2,3,7,10,14,20,21,22,23 & 24th of June). Abishekapriyan absent for 11 days due to the treatment for epileptic convulsion & respiratory complaints, in JPMER Hospital, Pondicherry. Shalini went to her relative house so she absent for 12 days. Shanthi took 10 days leave because she got affected with fever. Scheduled Activities of Hariksha Learning Center From 1st of June month the next level physiotherapy goals and special education activities are fixed based on the last quarter assessment. The appropriate goals and activities are assigned to develop the children to their next level. The assistant special educators Mrs. Malarkodi & Mrs. Mary Joshi announced their resignation due to their higher education chance. The resignation acknowledged and the staff team members relieved from their position on 7th June.

We purchased the teaching materials and toys for the special education from Chennai on 8th June 2011.

The Parents gathering took place on 11th June, the activities of learning center, plan of the forth coming academic year were discussed clearly with the parents. The 1st Self Help Group members Kalaiselvi & Poovarasan parents applied for the loan.

Venda is provided with new wheel chair on 13th June.

The building maintenance and re-painting of the building completed on 18th June. Mrs. Sudha, from Avalurpet joined on 20th June as an assistant special educator. She is provided with orientation and job nature. She is learning her job responsibilities in a good manner. The volunteer Mrs. Anais Chardine, Student of UNIVERSITE DE FRANCHE - COMTE through LFDC, France arrived on 29th June, she visited our Learning Center on 30th June. The main purpose is Performance and Behavior Audit of the staff, Searching sources of new physical therapy techniques adapted to the children’s cases, such as physical therapy techniques practicing in France, Searching funding sources, both for specific projects and for durable institutional funding.

The volunteer is staying in Rainbow Life Children Home, Tiruvannamalai. During the weekdays she is visiting the Learning Center 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., All the team members of Asha Learning Center, Children are introduced to her, all the activities of the learning center clearly explained to her.

Kalki - Self Help Group Through Kalki SHG – Poovarasan’s mother Suguna received with Rs. 7,000/- & Kalaiselvi’s mother Gandhi received Rs. 7000/- for the agriculture investment. Medical Treatment Vignesh treated with Dr. Raja, Avalurpet, on 21st June, he is taken by our staff for the treatment of epileptic fits. On 29th June Kanniammal got injured in the back in her house, the treatment taken by the parents. Additional Support The additional nutritional health drink support is provided to 19 children in this month. The details are 1. Arjun, 2. Balaji, 3. Gokul, 4. Manigandan, 5. Marudhu Pandy, 6. Gowtham. The Recurring Deposit of Rs. 250/- in the bank is credit in their respect account for 6 children, 1. Abishegapriyan, 2. Parameswari, 3. Kalaiselvi, 4. Praveenkumar, 5. Vinitha, 6. Gowtham. Birthday Celebration On 1st June Abishegapriyan, 15th June Manjula, 20th June Gokul, 29th June Vinitha’s Birthdays celebrated with cakes. All the children enjoyed the celebration of their friends birthday with cake cutting. It creates a happy mood and possession and attachment among the children.

Visitors In June month 24 members including parents / relatives visited our learning center, they are provided with the needed information and our activities details. Local Donations Mrs. Gandhi (Kalaiselvi) from Anna Nagar, Nochalur distributed sweets to all the children and staff on 6th June 2011. Mr. Babu and family, Avalurpet, sponsored the mid time meal on 7th June to share the joy of Mr. Babu’s birthday. Mr. G. B. Farool, G. B. Complex, Chetpet Road, Avalurpet provided Chocolates to the children. He provided Dairy Milk Chocolate 30 pieces, Milky Bar Chocolate 30 pieces, Complan Biscuits 30 packs. Mr. Sbarinathan, Karunagiri Street, Avalurpet, sponsored the mid time meals on 21st June to share the joy moments of his son Hari Ramanan’s birthday on 18th June 2011. Mr. Saravanan’s family sponsored the lunch with vada on 27th June for his father’s remembrance day. To Share the wedding happiness of Mr. Suresh with Mrs Kavitha on 26th June, the mid time meal, milk and biscuits provided on 28th June 2011. Sharmila’s parents contributed Rs. 250/- on 11th June for the vehicle running expenses for the month of May. Ranjani’s parents paid Rs. 500/- on 13th June for two months (April & May Vehicle running expenses. Deepak parents provided 5 liters of kerosene on 14th June for the cooking purpose Reported By P.
