INTRODUCTION
• The Unidad de Quemados (Burn Pediatric Unit)attached to the “Hospital del Niño Poblano”offers attention to pediatric age patients (sincenewborns up to 18 years of age) with burnlesions.
• The Pediatric Burned Unit activities focusspecifically in advance integral medical care forthe population below 18 years old, that hassuffered trauma by the burns and requiredhospital care
POPULATION
• The state of Puebla counts on a populationof 6,183,320 that represents 5% of thepopulation of the whole country, the stateoccupies the 5th place with the mostnumber of inhabitants.
• Is estimated that the unity benefits thepopulation of influence of 2,164,162 whichrepresents 35% of the inhabitants of thestate.
• Due that the unity serves children fromthe state of Puebla, as well as fromother states like Veracruz, Morelos,Hidalgo, Guerrero, Oaxaca andTabasco, among the most frequent.
• Due to references and transfers fromthe South-East of the country, medicalcare is exceeded and it requires tomaintain sufficient biomedicalequipment of high technology.
• It Provides an expedited attention andit shortens the time of staying at thehospital with reduction ofconsequences

• To provide timely and specialized medical attention with the necessary biomedical equipment and instruments to enable the recovery of burned pediatric patients
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• Provide biomedical equipment to the Burn Unitthat supplies the ones that are deteriorated orobsolete
• Improve quality of care with high-techequipment
• Reduce scars with the right equipment andimprove the safety of critically burned pediatricpatient care
• To cover their attention needs of the burnedpediatric patient once their attention capacity isexceeded with the requested equipment.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• Reduce and avoid secondary consequences of the burn, such as, retractile scars, deformations and epidermal contractions.
• Maintain safety in the quality of attention preserving the life of the burned pediatric patients.
