Who Are We?

Started in 1995 by the City of Jacksonville, United Way of

Northeast Florida and a group of area businesspeople,

politicians and philanthropists.

Goal: Comprehensive, holistic Center of Services

Currently: largest homeless services provider in N.E. Florida

homeless in United States annually

• Nearly 46,000 homeless

individuals in Florida

• Nearly 2,600 homeless live

in Duval County

• Over 350 of them call the

Sulzbacher Center Emergency Shelter “home”

ADVOCATE for funding for permanent, supportive housing

COMMIT to building or setting aside below market rentals

AGREE to work with providers who have hard to place clients

FIND your local homeless coalition (COC) and get involved

INVEST in the 100,000 Homes initiative

If a Housing Authority, PLEASE prioritize

and triage the most vulnerable first
