Frs. Varghese Parappuram, George Vettaparambil, and Mathew
Vattakuzhy participated in the funeral ceremony of Fr. Binu
Rathapilly’s father.
The Superior General and Finance Councilor came back after
conducting Canonical Visit in Vincentian House, Thiruvanathapuram
on 22nd June.
Visitors
Frs. John Kizhakkumthala, Madavana Thomas, Arolichalil John,
Mathew Elemplakattu, Antony Payyapilly and Mani Kumbuluvelil
visited Generalate.
Benjamin’s Meet 2017
As usual this year too Vincentian Generalate conducts Benjamins Meet for
minor seminarians in Kerala on 26th January 2017. Brothers and fathers
from Munnoorpilly, Pala, Myladi, Kalichanadukkam and Thrikkakakara
participate in this meeting

Arrival and Departure
Fr. Paul Kalarickal went back to Germany after his vacation.
Fr. Albert Kannaen (Mob. +91 9446975430) from Germany and Fr.
Vincent Rathappillil from US (Mob. +91 9567667050) have come to
Kerala for their holidays. Fr. James Thoyalil (Mob. +91 9744003814)
has come from US this morning to attend the funeral of his mother.

Khetri English Bible Convention
Hard work, prayer and determination can work wonders. The Khetri Bible
Convention, 2017 testifies this fact. Fr. Thomas Ettiyil, Fr. Lijo Chully and
the team members and volunteers dreamt of an English Bible Convention in
the Retreat Centre. All of them joined hand in hand to realize the dream.
And the Good Lord answered the constant and ardent prayers.
On January 13 Morning everything was ready to welcome Jesus the Eternal
Word. The Bible procession and Consecration led by Fr. Thomas Ettiyil, the
Director, and accompanied by Fr. Lijo Chully, the Administrator, marked the
beginning of the Three day festival (Jan 13-17, 2017) of “Word of God”. Fr.
Paul Parekkattil the Provincial Councilor, Fr. Augustine Mundakkattu, the
leader of the Convention, Fr. Thomas Ettiyil, and Mario Joseph, the
Preacher lit the lamp as a symbol of inviting Jesus the Light of the World.
Fr. Paul Parekkattil gave the inaugural talk. Rt. Rev. Michael Akasius
Toppo, the Bishop of Tezpur celebrated the Holy Eucharist. Fr. Augustine
Mundakkattu and Mario Joseph were the leading preachers. On 13th
January His Grace Mar John Moolachira, the Archbishop of Guwahati,
celebrated the Holy Mass. Fr. Ettiyil led the Adoration. Fr. Joyal Edathazhe
from Ladrymbai and Fr. Lijo Chully also helped in the ministry.
Almost 1800 people from Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, attended
the three days convention. Most of them were given accommodation in the
Retreat Centre and in the nearby schools. The support of the local clergy
was a great sign of the approval of our ministry by the Church in Northeast.
A 20 member choir led the music ministry and lifted the spirit of the people
to the heights.
Fr. Thomas Ettiyil and Fr. Lijo Chully deserve high appreciation for their
daring attempt to conduct such an event for the first time.

De Paul Annual Day

De Paul EMHSS Choondal celebrated 32nd annual day on Friday 20th
January 2017 at 4.30pm.The celebration began with grant procession of
different cultural and artistic plots. The annual day was inaugurated by
Very Rev. Dr. Paul Puthuva. Smt. Merin Joseph IPS was the chief guest. Fr.
Antony Thekinieth presided over the meeting. Rev Fr. Raju Choorackal
presented the annual report. Mr. S. Sachidandan AEO kunnumkulam Sub
district, Fr. Paul Tharakan, Mr. Praveen M.B, ward member, Fr. Paul
Thiruthnam & Mr. Alphons MK PTA President were the felicitators. Mr.
Omar LuLu, the director of Movie –“Happy wedding” honored during the
celebration since he was alumnus. Mrs. Sosamma Joseph, Incharge of KG
section and Mrs. Beeana Basanio, Incharge of LP Section were presented
memento and honored them as they are going to retire from school. The
Cine Artist Kumari Drisya Ragunath distributed prizes to students. Fr.
Thomas Mandy VC welcomed the gathering. The cultural bonanza “ENTE
KERALAM” added the colour in a grant finale.
