DOG REGISTRATION – EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ENDS 1 JULY With over 5,000 dogs registered on Council’s database, the time has come to renew annual dog registrations. Fees have changed for the 2019/2020 year – $110 for urban dogs, $55 for rural dogs and $75 for those with responsible dog owner status. The good news is that if you take advantage of our early bird discount and register by 1 July 2019 then you will receive a $10 discount per dog. We encourage you all to take advantage of this! All dogs born after 2006 must also be microchipped. The advantage of a dog being microchipped is that if they are ever go missing, it is much easier to identify your dog and return it home to you – even if it is found on the other side of New Zealand! To encourage as many people as possible to microchip their dogs, we have dramatically reduced our fee to only $15 per dog. Remember that you can also pay for your registration online to save yourself time. We will send invoices out in the new few weeks so please keep an eye out for yours. “WISHING YOU A SAFE AND HAPPY EASTER BREAK!” COUNCIL OFFICE: The Central Hawkes Bay District Council office in Waipawa and the Waipukurau Service Centre will be closed from 5pm Thursday 18 April 2019.
