Log in Using Your College Board Username and Password
• Step 1 – Go to www.collegeboard.org/APCapstonePortfolio and log in using your
College Board username and password.
o You may have an existing account if you have ever viewed AP® scores, or
registered for SAT® online.
o You can request a password reset or you can create a new account if you
don’t already have one.
• Step 2 – Once you have signed in to your College Board account, you may be
prompted to provide additional information.
o Make sure to enter the correct high school in order to request enrollment in
AP Seminar. Keep in mind that the school you attend must offer AP
Capstone in order for you to access the AP Capstone Digital Portfolio.

Enroll In an AP Seminar Class at Your School
• Step 1 – Once you are logged in (www.collegeboard.org/APCapstonePortfolio), you
will be redirected to the ‘My Classes’ page where you can enroll in the appropriate
AP Seminar class / period.
o You will see a list of all AP Seminar classes / periods being offered at your
school. If you do not see your class, contact your teacher, as it is possible
that they have not yet created it yet.
o Request enrollment in the appropriate class / period

• Step 2 – Upon clicking ‘Enroll’ you will see a notification that enrollment has been
requested.
o You cannot access the AP Capstone Digital Portfolio until your teacher
confirms your enrollment

Access the AP Capstone Digital Portfolio
• Step 1 – Check to see if your teacher has confirmed your enrollment request by
going to www.collegeboard.org/APCapstonePortfolio and signing in using your
College Board account.
o If your teacher has approved your enrollment request, you will see a status of
‘Confirmed’ next to the class / period you are taking.
Please note that you will not be able to access the AP Capstone Digital
Portfolio until your teacher confirms your enrollment.

• Step 2 – Click on the ‘AP Capstone Digital Portfolio’ box.
• Step 3 – You should see a new tab open in your browser, bringing you to the AP
Capstone Digital Portfolio ‘Overview’ page.

Navigate Through the AP Capstone Digital Portfolio
• Step 1 – The ‘Overview’ page can link you to all AP Seminar through-course
performance tasks. You can access performance task components via the links in
the center of the page or by clicking on the blue boxes in the left-navigation bar.
You can also upload a photo that your teacher and your team members will be able
to see.
o Note: If your teacher has not yet assigned you to a team for the Team Project
and Presentation, you will not be able to access the Written Team Report or
Team Multi-Media Presentation and Defense components.

Upload and Download Draft Performance Tasks
• Step 1 – Click on the performance task component for which you’d like to upload a
document. You’ll see ‘Upload’ and ‘Download’ options (‘Download’ is only available if
there has been at least 1 draft document submitted). Click ‘Upload’ and select a file
to be uploaded to the system.
• Step 2 – Once you’ve uploaded a document, it will be available for you and your
teacher to download.
o You can download the most recently uploaded document by clicking the
‘Download’ link, or by clicking the link in the ‘Comments’ area. Prior versions
of a submission can be retrieved via the ‘Comments’ area.
o Note: Team Written Reports that are uploaded can be downloaded and
viewed by all students on your team, and by your teacher. Your Individual
Research and Reflection and Individual Written Argument can only be
downloaded and viewed by you or your teacher.

• Step 1 – Click on the performance task component for which you’d like to enter a
comment, enter your comment into the comment box, and click ‘Post’.

o Comments left for the Written Team Report or Team Multimedia Presentation
and Defense can be viewed and responded to by your teacher as well as
other members of your team.
o Comments left for all other performance task components can only be viewed
and responded to by your teacher.
