Planning for College and Career?

Page 9: AP Courses Dual Enrollment Keep Grades up Take ACT/SAT Test Community Service Hours Apply for Scholarships Get Organized

How to decide what is the best career for you! Ask yourself these questions….

What do I like to do for fun? What do I like to read about?Who is the one person that I admire the

most? What class inspires me the most? What are my strengths and weaknesses?Where do I want to live? What was the one career that I talked about

as a child?

Connect what you are good at and passionate about to the jobs that are out there, not the other way around!

Example: You like the idea of working in the health field with children? Nursing is a great way to do it, but so is respiratory therapy, speech language pathology, physical therapist assistant, and the list goes on and on. Which way is best for you?

Don’t be afraid to think outside the box!
