State Colleges: A.A. or A.S.? Associate in Arts degrees (A.A.) are

meant for transfer, particularly to State Universities

Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees are meant to start work after earning your two year degree

Career and Technical School? These specialty schools offer a variety of

programs to get the student in the workforce and often starting at $10,000-$20,000 more than a high school graduate with up to a years worth of training in a specific field.

Example: Licensed Practical Nursing, EMT, Paramedic, Dental Assistant, Massage Therapy, & Pharmacy Technician.

What about University?

AA degree earned at a state college is a university transfer degree

Typically 4 years of education to earn a Bachelors degree.

Or continue to get a Master’s or PhD degree for higher learning skills needed for many jobs/careers.
