Growing up on the coast of Maine, I developed an appreciation for the yankee ingenuity of functionality and practicality.

Floorcloths were first used in the 17th century as a way to make a durable painted covering for floors, usually with a simple design or border, and made from recycled sailcloth.

By reviving the lost art of painted floorcloths, I have found a way to compliment todays life-style by creating a fun and unique way to decorate your home...the practical way!

AP Floorcloth Design is my way of bringing a modern sensibility to a part of history. Incorporating the growing conscious life-style practices with the design trends of today, I aim to add a unique aesthetic with every Floorcloth exemplifying that way of life we can all appreciate.
