separation bumps at IP2 was due to the gain depletion of the MCPs at the center of the measurement aperture

Uncorrected data and indicates a vertical beam size increase of 16% or emittance increase of 35% whenbump is removed

Same data with gain and offset corrections. Now the size change is 5%, about the scatter in shot-shot measurements

Each individual ac dipole DSA response

Conclusion:

• H DSA response is dueto the difference of roll of each ac dipole

• took both 1024 turn by turn bpm data and million turn bpm data for all cases. Offline analysis to extract the roll of each ac dipole

Off Momentum Beta Beat

• PI: R. Calaga, Y. Luo, S. White, M. Bai• ~40% chromatic beta beat was observed during 250 GeV pp run in 2009 • Two correction techniques:

• adjust phase advance between IP6 and IP8: R. Calaga• correct non-linear chromaticity: Y. Luo

• Measured on-momentum optics• ~ 20% beta beat(peak) in both rings• Blue beta* Yellow:

• first attempt of radial steering killed beam• orbit xmean wasn’t properly zeroed before activating radial steering
