Merit scholarships include:

AMC Outstanding and Excellent Achiever Scholarships Valued over $10,000, the AMC Outstanding Achiever Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 96+, qualify for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level degree program offered by the National Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (NCMEH) or the National Centre for Ports & Shipping (NCPS) - Maritime Logistics Management Section. The AMC Excellent Achiever Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have achieved Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) between 90 - 95, who qualify for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level degree program offered by the National Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (NCMEH) or the National Centre for Ports & Shipping (NCPS) - Maritime Logistics Management Section.

AMC Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship To increase female participation in maritime engineering programs, AMC is offering scholarships to young women. On offer to all female CSP students applying for maritime engineering programs, who attain an ATAR of between 70.00 and 89.00, and meet pre-requisite entry requirements. Australian National University

Range of scholarships each year, each ranging between $1,000 and $20,000, some once-off payments and others per year An extensive range of scholarships are on offer including:

ANU National University Scholarship Awarded to eligible CSP students who have achieved an ATAR of 99.90 and above, across all faculties. No application is required. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU and list the ANU course as a first, second or third preference will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $12,500 per year, for a maximum of five years.

ANU National Merit Scholarship These scholarships are available to recent school leavers who achieved excellent results in their Year 12 qualification. A minimum ATAR of 99.75 – 99.85 is required to be considered. No application is required. All eligible CSP applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU and list the ANU course as a first, second or third preference will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $6,500 per year, for a maximum of five years.

ANU Excellence Scholarships for International Students Valued at $5000 in the first year followed by 10% discount of tuition fees for years of study thereafter. For international students who have achieved at an excellent level in their final years of schooling, demonstrated by excellent results in their secondary studies qualification. ANU College of Business & Economics International Undergraduate Scholarship The Scholarships will cover the full (100%) international student tuition fee cost each year, for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholars’ chosen undergraduate program, excluding an Honours Year. The scholarship is available to students completing a single or combined degree.

ANU Foundation for Visual Arts Scholarship Open to CSP and international students who are successful in obtaining entry to an undergraduate degree program offered by the School of Art in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, and be deemed to be an outstanding applicant in any area of expertise of the School by the Selection Committee. No application is necessary as all new undergraduate students will be automatically considered. Valued at $5,000.

Harmony Endowment Undergraduate Scholarship All new applicants commencing an undergraduate degree offered by the ANU School of Music. No application required as all new undergraduate students – CSP and international – will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $5,000 per annum over three years.

ANU Dennis Griffin National Piano Undergraduate Scholarships Applicants must have received an offer by the School of Music in the piano and composition area of the School. No application required as all new undergraduate students – CSP and international – will be automatically considered. Students must demonstrate outstanding musical ability and accomplishment, which will be assessed at audition Scholarship valued at $5,000 per annum over three years.

ANU College of Business & Economics Undergraduate Merit Awards Awarded to both CSP and international students with a minimum ATAR of 95.00 and who have made an application through UAC for one of the qualifying business courses to ANU. All eligible students will be automatically considered and no application is required. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment.

Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies, Applied Statistics School Undergraduate Merit Award

Awarded to both CSP and international students who attain a minimum ATAR of 95.00 and have made an application through UAC for the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, Bachelor of Finance, or Bachelor of Statistics (combined degrees are accepted). No application necessary as all eligible students considered automatically. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment.

Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies & Statistics Bachelor of Finance, Economics & Statistics (Honours) Scholarship

Awarded to both CSP and international students with a minimum ATAR of 99.00 and entering the Bachelor of Finance, Economics, and Statistics (Honours). No application necessary as all eligible students considered automatically. Scholarship valued at $10,000 – paid in two instalments.

ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Advanced Computing Research & Development Female Excellence Scholarships

Female CSP students who have applied for the Bachelor of Advanced Computing (Research & Development) (Honours), and expect a minimum ATAR 99.00, are eligible to apply for this scholarship, valued at $5,000 per annum.

ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Engineering Research & Development Female Excellence Scholarship

Female CSP students who have applied for the Bachelor of Advanced Computing (Research & Development) (Honours), and expect a minimum ATAR 99.00, are eligible to apply for this scholarship, valued at $5,000 per annum.

ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science Research and Development Excellence Scholarships

CSP students must have an ATAR of 99.00, and have applied for admission and will enrol into a single or Flexible Double Degree program of Bachelor of Engineering (R&D) (Honours) or Bachelor of Advanced Computing (R&D) (Honours) offered by the College. Students must have made an application through UAC, and apply for the scholarship. Scholarship valued at $7,500 for students outside of the ACT.

ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science Female Excellence Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships awarded to female CSP students who achieve an ATAR of 97.00 and who are enrolling in Undergraduate programs offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment.

ANU College of Business and Economics Relocation Grant Open CSP students commencing a single or combined Bachelor degree offered by the College and relocating from interstate to Canberra to study at ANU, will receive a one-off payment of $1,000. Applicants must complete and submit an online application form by the nominated deadline. Bond University

Bond University offers an extensive scholarship program, with values ranging from 25% scholarships to 100% scholarships. The scholarships listed below are open to both local and international students. Some of the scholarships on offer include:

Vice-Chancellor’s Elite Scholarships This 100% scholarship is available to all Year 12 students with an anticipated ATAR above 94.95; with demonstrated strong leadership skills, and extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. Open to all undergraduate degrees excluding the Bond Medical Program.

The Padma and Hari Harilela Scholarships

Awarded to outstanding students from around the globe, looking to study at either undergraduate or postgraduate level (excluding the Bond Medical Program, Master of Psychology and Doctor of Physiotherapy). These scholarships open the door to applicants with strong achievements in both community involvement and contribution, and academia. Applicants must meet the prerequisites and the admissions entry standard for their chosen degree. Submission of a 500-word personal statement outlining the applicant's community involvement and contribution, as well as personal attributes and academic achievements. Awardees received a total of $10,000 (domestic students) and $15,000 (international students).

Excellence Scholarships

The Excellence Scholarships are divided into three categories:

Collegiate Excellence Scholarship Excellence Scholarship Judge John Newton Mooting Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded to Year 12 students with an anticipated ATAR of over 90.90, demonstrating exceptional potential, strong leadership skills and extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. The value of the scholarships is 50% of tuition fees for any single or combined degree (excluding Bond Medical Program).

John Eales Rugby Excellence

Awarded to a Year 12 student Australian student eligible to represent Australian Rugby, meets the academic requirements for the course selected, has experience playing rugby at a high level, and can demonstrate strong leadership skills and community involvement.

The scholarship covers 100% tuition fees any single diploma program, single undergraduate degree, single postgraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program), and a $10,000 bursary will also be awarded as a cash payment and made directly to the scholar’s Bond student account for a maximum of 2 years (or pro-rated for part-time students to a maximum of $20,000).

Indigenous Scholarships These scholarships, valued up to 50% of tuition fees for any single undergraduate degree (excluding the Medical Program) or 100% tuition for any diploma program, are awarded to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who have demonstrated extracurricular involvement, leadership potential and academic achievements.

Georgina Hope Rinehart Swimming Excellence Scholarship The Georgina Hope Rinehart Excellence Scholarship is targeted at high performance swimming scholars offering a 100% scholarship plus $21,000 living expenses for students to compete at an elite level while gaining an education at Bond University. This scholarship is open to students who are eligible to compete for Australia; are swimming at a very high level for their school or club; have a high academic record, and who possess leadership qualities. Available to all Australian students applying for a single undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or diploma at Bond University (excluding the Bond Medical Program).

ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship The ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship celebrates this by awarding sporting scholarships to outstanding sports men and women from around Australia with the chance to help fund their tertiary studies. Valued at 50% of the cost of any single undergraduate degree or single postgraduate degree (excludes the Bond Medical Program, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Master of Psychology; Clinical and Forensic and Master of Creative Arts), as well as a $10,000 cash bursary will be awarded per year of study for a maximum of 2 years to domestic students. Box Hill Institute

Bradman Scholarship

The scheme offers an allowance of $5,000 per year to assist with accommodation and academic expenses for a CSP student to attend an Australian University for the term of the Scholarship, a maximum of three years. A Bradman Scholar is an achiever who possesses a blend of academic, sporting, personal and social skills, together with a strong talent on the cricket field. Furthermore, and most importantly, the Foundation believes that each Scholar should aim to pursue Sir Donald's ideals at all times. Part of the selection criteria is that a student must have participated in the sport of cricket, e.g. club player or coach. Applications close 28 February 2018. Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarship

Valued at $50,000 over three years, the C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship commemorates the achievements of one of Australia's most respected pastoral pioneers who served with distinction in the First World War and went on to become a distinguished scholar and leading figure in the Federal Parliament prior to his tragic, and untimely death in an aircraft accident in 1938. Since 1991 the Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund has awarded nearly four million dollars to 90 young Australians. The scholarships have been awarded almost equally to male and female applicants. Scholarship holders have come from every sector of Australian society and graduated from government, catholic and private schools. They have studied law, politics, economics, medicine and arts. Hawker Scholars are now working in Australia, Europe, the US and Asia.

Applications for the 2017 Hawker Scholarship open on 4 December 2017 and close 5 January 2018. Charlie Bell Scholarships

Scholarships honouring Charlie Bell, the former McDonald's Corporation CEO.

RMHC Charlie Bell Scholarship

The RMHC Charlie Bell Scholarship Program provides financial assistance towards vocational or tertiary studies for students who have experienced serious illness. Children aged 15-20 years who have been treated at Monash Children's Hospital are eligible to apply for a one-off grant of $5,000 to undertake a course of instruction in accredited undergraduate institutions to make a huge difference in their life. Charlie Bell Scholarship for Future Leaders The Charlie Bell Scholarship for Future Leaders honours Charlie Bell, the former McDonald's Corporation CEO. A $15,000 scholarship will be awarded to a current employee of McDonald's. Applicants must be eligible to commence an undergraduate degree at an Australian University in Semester 1 2018 and be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency. Charles Sturt University

Unless specified, scholarships at Charles Sturt University range in value between $2,000 to $6,000, and some are a once-off payment and others per year.

CSU Excellence Scholarship Awarded to CSP students based on a combination of academic merit (ATAR of 95.00 and above) and evidence of demonstrated leadership and citizenship at school, and within the community. This is a cash scholarship of $5,000 per year up to four years.

Dr Ron Camplin Scholarship OAM Awarded to a CSP student applying for any course at the Bathurst campus and who attained an ATAR of 85.00 or above. The scholarship is valued at $18,000, to be paid in $3,000 instalments twice per year pending GPA of 5.0 or above is achieved and enrolment is ongoing. Applicants are required to submit a minimum 250-word essay on "Who is Ron Camplin?", and provide evidence of sound academic achievement, community/regional involvement, and career goals and aspirations. Dr. Peter Hodgson Scholarship Any first year CSP student studying any course at the Bathurst campus and who attained an ATAR of 85.00 or above is eligible to apply. This scholarship is valued at $5,000, and is a one-off payment.

Peter Gissing Scholarship Any CSP student studying the Bachelor of Pharmacy at the Wagga Wagga campus. Applicants will need to produce evidence of a strong academic record as well as community involvement. Paid as a one-off, this scholarship is valued at $5,000. Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship This scholarship is awarded by the Vice-Chancellor to Australian undergraduate students whose exceptional academic achievements, proven experience and leadership has truly set them apart. CSP students who either attain an ATAR of 95.00 OR are the dux of their school, are eligible. The scholarship includes:

Defence Civilian Undergraduate Sponsorship

The Defence Civilian Undergraduate Sponsorship (DCUS) is open to aspiring university CSP students who wish to pursue a degree in engineering or ICT through the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra campus at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). There are no military service obligations or requirements. This is a sponsorship for civilian students who may be interested in a career in the Department of Defence. The two courses on offer are:

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical and Civil) (4 years) Bachelor of Computing and Cyber Security (3 years)

Eligible applicants will have the full tuition costs of their degree covered by the Department of Defence sponsorship agreement and receive a generous annual bursary to cover the cost of text books and equipment. Monash-Pratt Musician Performance Scholarship One scholarship will be awarded to any CSP or international student commencing a jazz or classical undergraduate degree in the School of Music at a Monash campus in Australia, and playing a specialised instrument as determined by the School of Music. Scholarships at RMIT are granted to students based on equity, academic excellence, leadership skills, community involvement and research. Merit scholarships that are on offer include:

RMIT Achievement Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students starting a full-time degree in semester 1 2018. It is valued at $10,000 per year for the duration of the course. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered.

SEH Women in Engineering Scholarship Valued at $5000 per year for up to four years, this scholarship is on offer to female CSP students commencing a Bachelor of Engineering in 2018. A comprehensive range of scholarships are available, ranging in value up to $10,000 per year. The University of Adelaide offers a range of scholarships, funded by the University and by external organisations, for both commencing and continuing undergraduate students from wide-ranging backgrounds. Examples of some of the merit scholarships are:

Andy Thomas Scholarship For a student with an outstanding ATAR and applying for a CSP place in a Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering; covers the full cost of tuition fees plus $6,000 per year allowance over four years. Scholarship selection will also have regard to the student’s contribution to their school and to the wider community. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through SATAC to the University of Adelaide will be automatically considered. The university will contact the eligible students and invite them to apply, and short-listed candidates may be required to attend an interview.

Marta Sved Scholarship in Mathematics A once-off payment of $2,000 will be awarded to a female CSP student who commences a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences (Advanced), Mathematical & Computer Sciences or Engineering (Computational). The recipient will also receive a laptop computer and a personal mathematics mentor for the duration of their study program. Selection will be made according to academic merit in mathematics with consideration given to a recommendation made by the applicant's mathematics teacher and the applicants' statement regarding why they wish to study their chosen degree. The ATAR will also be considered.

Agribusiness Leaders Scholarship for Excellence

One scholarship valued at $10,000 for one year will be available to a commencing CSP student. Applicants must be undertaking their first year of study in the Bachelor of Agricultural Science program at the University of Adelaide. Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit and applicants' demonstrated leadership experience. Academic merit will be determined by the ATAR. Robertson Scholars Program Scholarship Valued at $200,000, this scholarship is a unique opportunity to complete a 4-year undergraduate degree at one of two of the U.S.'s leading academic institutions: Duke University, or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The scholarship is provided to CSP students who have achieved good academic success (ATAR or equivalent of 95.00+) as well as having displayed significant leadership and community involvement in their final years of high school. Scholars interested in this program must be driven and motivated to play a greater role in the world and be one of tomorrow's leaders. The scholarship provides for full tuition fees, accommodation expenses and other costs associated with undertaking a degree abroad and give recipients the opportunity to participate in summer programs. Invitations to a range of special events such as Scientia Scholars welcome, Distinguished Speakers Series, Mentor Briefing Session, research seminars.

UQ Excellence Scholarships Valued at $6,000 per year for up to 4 years, these scholarships will be awarded to CSP and international students who attain an ATAR of 99.00 and who, during their senior years, have demonstrated outstanding extra-curricular academic and/or leadership and/or significant community service achievements. Students must apply through QTAC for a UQ course, and list it as a first or second preference. Students must submit an online application to be considered.

UQ Merit Scholarships Open to all students applying through QTAC for a course. Valued at $6,000 for the first year of study, these scholarships will be awarded to CSP and international students who attain an ATAR of 96.00 – 99.00 and who can also demonstrate outstanding extra-curricular academic and/or leadership and/or significant community service achievements. Students must submit an online application to be considered.

Vice-Chancellor’s National University Scholarship The Vice-Chancellor’s National University Scholarships are the University’s premier academic scholarships awarded to high achieving students who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence in Years 11 and 12. Open to CSP and international students, this scholarship is valued at $20,000 per year plus an additional once-off $5,000 payment for students eligible to undertake a semester of overseas exchange at one of the University’s partner institutions. Interstate students may also receive a once-off relocation assistance package. Year 12 school leavers will automatically be considered for these scholarships.

Dean’s Merit Scholarships These awards are available to high achieving CSP and international school leavers who demonstrate academic excellence and are enrolling for the first time at the University in

Law High Achievers Scholarship This scholarship is made available by the University's Faculty of Law to encourage high-achieving interstate students to study Law at the University of Tasmania. Valued at $10,000 (consisting of a Law Relocation Bursary valued at $7,500 and a once-off optional Federation Scholarship in Law, valued at $2,500). Eligible students will be automatically assessed for this scholarship during the University Admission process.

Contemporary Music Performance Scholarship The University of Tasmania provide several scholarships to attract the best and brightest contemporary musicians to study at undergraduate level in contemporary music performance at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music. Course fees plus a living allowance of up to $3,000 per year (the value of the living allowance will be awarded based on audition/interview results) may be awarded to the successful students. Applicants will be considered on both an interview/audition and on the quality of their written application.

Don Kay Tasmania University Scholarship in Music The scholarship will provide course fees for one year and is available to a CSP student commencing study at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. Preference may be given to students intending to study piano and/or composition. As applicants will be assessed on the quality of their online application, all questions should be answered in full.

APRA Singer-Songwriter Scholarship This scholarship pays the course fees in full, and is available to an interstate Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) member commencing a three-year undergraduate degree in contemporary music at the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music as a singer-songwriter. Applicants will be considered on both an interview/audition and on the quality of their written application.

The George Alexander Foundation Relocation and Living Support Scholarship Valued at $24,000 in total paid over the course of the degree, this scholarship is available to an Australian citizen who is commencing any full-time undergraduate course at the University of Tasmania and who must move away from home to attend the university. Applicants will be assessed based on their academic results, demonstration of financial need, leadership, and involvement in their local community. As applicants will be assessed on the quality of their online application, all questions should be answered in full.

Pharmacy Undergraduate Scholarship Open to highly motivated students hoping to study for a career in Pharmacy. Students who have the required pre-requisites and ATAR will be eligible to apply for and receive $3,000 per year up to four years. Other selection criteria include motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program, as demonstrated in the online scholarship application or as determined by UTS, and initiative in personal life, as demonstrated in the scholarship application or as determined by UTS.

Business Dean's Scholarship Valued at $30,000 over three years, this scholarship is awarded to a top CSP student who attains the highest ranked ATAR , and who applies to undertake a UTS Bachelor of Business degree. This scholarship is valued at $30,000 in total. Selection is based on academic excellence at Year 12 level; demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life and motivation to succeed in the UTS Bachelor of Business degree. Students must make an online application.

Science Dean's Scholarship CSP students attaining an ATAR of 99.00 and above are eligible to apply for this scholarship valued at $10,000. The students must apply for a science degree offered by the Faculty of Science through UAC as well as make an online application for the scholarship. Applicants will need to demonstrate their motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program, and demonstrate initiative in personal life.

Bachelor of Accounting Scholarship The Bachelor of Accounting is a co-operative education program, being a three-way partnership between the sponsor organisations, UTS and the students. Co-operative programs are awarded to CSP students with a good academic record (ATAR 95.00 but not essential), demonstrated leadership potential, and a genuine interest in accounting. Applicants will also have to demonstrate personal attributes needed to succeed both as a student and in a business career - communication skills, inter-personal skills, team-working skills, problem-solving skills, enthusiasm, and dedication. All CSP students in the Bachelor of Accounting co-operative program receive a generous income tax-exempt scholarship per year for 3 years, valued at over $51,000. In addition, all students who are recruited by a sponsor organisation in their final year of study will receive a Recruitment Incentive bonus of $9,000.00 for the second half of the year. All applicants must note that the course starts with compulsory fast-track classes 6 weeks before most other university courses. Students will also need to submit an online application by 20 October 2017, and attend an interview in mid-November 2017. Engineering Industry-Based Merit Scholarship A range of companies from across the Australian Engineering Industry sponsor several Engineering Cooperative Scholarships. Students will also have direct access to industry sponsors and many undertake an internship with their sponsor company. Open to CSP students who attain an ATAR of 90.00, make an online application and attend an interview. Valued at $9,000 for one year. Selection is based on academic performance; and skills evidenced in leadership, commitment to, and understanding of the engineering profession; and demonstrated initiative in extra-curricular and non-academic activities.

Bachelor of Information Technology Co-operative Scholarship Program This co-operative program prepares CSP students for an exciting career in IT management. Successful applicants receive a scholarship of $49,500 over three years. Co-operative programs are awarded to students with a good academic record, demonstrated leadership potential, and a genuine interest in IT. Students need to meet the prerequisite subjects, attain at ATAR of 90.00+, submit an online application and attend an interview.

Undergraduate Full Tuition Scholarships for International Students The International Undergraduate Full Tuition Scholarship was established to support high achieving commencing international students enrolling in an undergraduate program at UTS in Sydney. UTS will pay successful recipients the UTS tuition fees for the approved Bachelor degree course for the duration of the scholarship, which is the standard number of sessions required for completion of the chosen undergraduate course on the basis of full-time study load.
