City of Lacey 2005 Wastewater Comprehensive Plan Update Appendix E
Lift Station No. 2 Description Lift Station No. 2 is located at 2408 Westlake Drive SE. It is located in a residential neighborhood. In 1970 the station was placed online, but since that time it has been retrofitted with two Hydromatic submersible pumps. According to the nameplates on the pumps they are capable of pumping 140 gpm at a TDH of 23 feet. Wastewater from the station is discharged into the gravity system that feeds L.S. No. 3 which ultimately discharges to the Sleater-Kinney Trunk Sewer for gravity flow to the LOTT treatment facilities. The control panel has been updated and rewired. A portable generator is located adjacent to the station. The station has not experienced any odor problems. Lift Station No. 3
Description The station is located in a residential area at 2404 Golf Club Road SE. The wet well/drywell station went on-line in 1970, but was updated in 2004. The station has two Hydromatic pumps that are capable of pumping 1100 gpm at a TDH of 56 feet. It receives wastewater flow from its surrounding drainage basin and from L.S. No. 2. The combined flow discharges to the Sleater-Kinney Trunk Sewer for gravity flow to the LOTT treatment facilities. The electrical panel is located in an above ground structure and appears to be in good electrical condition. A generator is located next to the control panel. No odors have observed at the wet well. Lift Station No. 4
Description Lift Station No. 4 is a wetwell/drywell station that went on-line in 1970. It is located at 5900 25th Avenue SE in a residential area. The station contains two Smith & Loveless pumps that according to their nameplate are capable of pumping 175 gpm at a TDH of 32 feet. Wastewater from the station is discharged into the Ruddell Trunk Sewer that feeds to the LOTT owned Martin Way LS. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. The station is capable of accepting portable generator power. There have been no odors observed at the wet well. Description Lift Station No. 5 is a wetwell/drywell station that went on-line in 1973. The station is located in a residential area at 3907 Ryan Street SE. In contains two Smith & Loveless pumps whose nameplates indicate they are capable of pumping 150 gpm at a TDH of 39 feet. Wastewater from the station discharges to the Ruddell Trunk Sewer that feeds the LOTT owned Martin Way LS. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. The station is capable of accepting portable generator power. A Milltronics controller controls the pumping cycle. Lift Station No. 6
Description The station is located in a residential area at 5611 32nd Court SE. Lift Station No. 6 is a wetwell/drywell station that went on-line in 1974. It contains two Smith & Loveless pumps whose nameplates indicate they are capable of pumping 210 gpm at a TDH of 40 feet. Wastewater from the station discharges to the Ruddell Trunk Sewer that feeds the LOTT owned Martin Way LS. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. The station has an onsite generator. In the past the wetwell’s limited storage capacity potentially was an issue in the event of any failures. An overflow wet well was installed in 1997 to provide additional storage in the event of a failure. Description Lift Station No. 8 is located at 590 College Street SE, near the Lacey Library. It is a wet well mounted station that went on-line in 1978. The station contains two Smith & Loveless pumps that according to their nameplates are capable of pumping 100 gpm at a TDH of 25 feet. Wastewater from the station is discharged to the Sleater-Kinney Trunk Sewer for gravity flow to the LOTT treatment facilities. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. Lift Station No. 9
Description Lift Station No. 9 is located in a park at 4901 Ruddell Road SE. The station originally went on-line in 1979 but was upgraded in 1999. It utilizes three submersible Flygt pumps, with the two largest each capable of pumping 1,000 gpm with a TDH of 48 feet. The station receives wastewater flow from its surrounding drainage basin as well as from Lift Station No. 18 and Lift Station No. 22. The combined flow discharges to the Ruddell Trunk Sewer, which ultimately discharges into the LOTT owned Martin Way LS. The pumping cycle is controlled by Multiprobe controls. A 150kW backup generator is housed in the building. A soil bed has been installed on the site to control odors. Lift Station No. 10
Description Lift Station No. 10 is located at 690 Carpenter Road, in a non-residential area. The wet well mounted station went on-line in 1980. It utilizes two Smith & Loveless pumps. According to the face plates the pumps are each capable of pumping 400 gpm at a TDH of 70 feet. The station receives flow from Lift Station No.’s 11 and 12. Wastewater from the station is discharged to the LOTT owned Martin Way LS and has the capacity to discharge into the Sleater-Kinney Trunk Sewer. The station appears in good electrical condition. The pumps and force main piping appear to be in good mechanical condition. A Milltronics controller controls pumping cycles at the station. There have been no odors observed at this station. Description Located at 6317 5th Court SE Lift Station No. 12 is located in a residential area. It is a wet well mounted station and it went on-line in 1980. The station contains two Smith & Loveless pumps; each of which according to their face plates is capable of pumping 100 gpm with a TDH of 26 feet. Wastewater from the station discharges into the Carpenter Trunk Sewer for gravity flow to L.S. No. 10. In a by-pass situation Lift Station No. 12 receives flow from an inverted siphon on the Martin Way East Trunk Sewer Line. The station appears in good electrical condition and is can accept portable generator power. A float system controls the pumping cycles. The pumps and piping appear to be in good mechanical condition. No odors have been observed at the wet well. Description Lift station 15 is located behind a strip mall at 1243 Marvin Road NE. A wet well mounted station it went on-line in 1988. The station contains two Hydronix pumps that according to their name plates are capable of pumping 130 gpm at a TDH of 20 feet. Wastewater from the station discharges to the Martin Way East Trunk Sewer line. The Martin Way East Trunk Sewer line discharges by gravity to the LOTT owned Martin Way Lift Station. During overflow situations the station overflows to a gravity system. No provisions for portable backup power generation are provided at the station. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. However, the pumps and piping show some rust. Floats control the pumping cycle in the station. No odors have been observed at the station. Lift Station No. 17 Description Lift Station No. 17 is located at 480 College Street NE in a non-residential area. The wet well mounted station went on-line in 1992. It utilizes two Hydronix pumps whose name plates indicate that they are each capable of pumping 165 gpm at a TDH of 120 feet. Wastewater from the station is combined with pumped flows from the LOTT owned Martin Way Lift Station in a common force main, which discharges to LOTT Partnership gravity facilities. The pump station site is well maintained. The float controls and telemetry, pumps and piping appear to be in good condition. The station is equipped with pressure gauges. The electrical components appear to be in good condition and the station is capable of accepting portable generator power. The wet well appears to be in good structural condition. Description Located at 4730 Yelm Highway SE Lift Station No. 18 is in a non-residential area. The wet well mounted station went on-line in 1991. It utilizes two Fairbanks Morse pumps. According to their name plates the pumps are each capable of pumping 250 gpm with a TDH of 27 feet. Wastewater from the station is discharged and flows by gravity in L.S. No. 9. The station appears in good electrical condition. An onsite 25 kW generator powers the station during periods of power outages. A Milltronics controller controls pumping cycles. The station requires monthly pumping due to solids build-up in the wet well. The station site is clean and well maintained. Lift Station No. 19
Description Lift Station No. 19 went on-line in 1990. The station is located at 2691 Willamette NE. The wet well/drywell station contains two Cornell pumps with name plates stating that each are capable of pumping 340 gpm at a TDH of 38 feet. It serves an industrial park and receives primarily industrial type wastewater. The station discharges to the Martin Way East Trunk Sewer for gravity flow to the LOTT owned Martin Way Lift Station. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. A 75 kW generator provides power to the station during power outages. The bubbler controls and telemetry appear to be in good working order. The pumps and piping appear to be in good mechanical condition with only very minimal rust. The station site is clean and well maintained. Description Lift Station No. 20 is located in a residential area at 5011 47th Avenue SE. The submersible station went on-line in 1993. It utilizes two Hydromatic pumps each that according to their face plates are capable of pumping 100 gpm with a TDH of 36 feet. Wastewater from the station is discharged into the Ruddell Trunk Sewer that feeds the LOTT owned Martin Way LS. The station appears to be in good electrical condition and will accept portable generator power. Milltronics controllers control the pumping cycles. The pump station site is in good condition, with minor cracking in the concrete surrounding the access doors to the wet well and the valves. Each of these pumps is capable of pumping 300 gpm at a TDH of 26 feet. Wastewater from the station is combined with flow from L.S. No. 10 in a combined force main. This force main discharges in the Sleater-Kinney Trunk Sewer that gravity flows to the LOTT Treatment Facilities. The station appears to be in good electrical condition. Description Lift Station No. 22 went on-line in 1996. It is located in a residential neighborhood at 4401 45th Avenue SE. The submersible type station utilizes two Hydromatic pumps that according to their name plates are capable of pumping 183 gpm against a TDH of 41 feet. Wastewater from the station is discharged into a gravity line that flows to L.S. No. 9. The control panel on the site is temporary. A permanent control panel will be installed when a future project is developed. A bubbler system controls the pumping cycles. Some settling occurred at the site. It includes two Flyght pumps whose name plates indicate that they are capable of pumping 180 gpm at a TDH of 163 feet. Wastewater from the station is combined with flow from the LOTT owned Martin Way Lift Station in a combined force main. The force main discharges to the gravity sewer line flowing to the LOTT Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Milltronics controllers control the pumping cycle. Description Lift Station No. 24 is located in the woods near an apartment complex. The site address is 7612 19th Lane SE. The step/submersible station went on-line in 1999. The station utilizes two Orenco pumps. Floats located in the wet well control the pumping cycle. A portable emergency generator can be hooked to the station to provide back-up power in the event of a power outage. The station site itself is clean and well maintained but the area surrounding the site is being used for illegal dumping. As with most step/submersible systems occasional odors can be expected.
