The Superhero Speed Dating Game

Part #1 - Create a superhero profile

You will select a MALE or FEMALE card from a bag. This card is your superhero’s sex. (Note: If a female student selects a MALE card, she must create a male character.) Read Thunderbolt Woman’s profile card.Your profile must also have 18 different items. Before you create your superhero, take 10 minutes to brainstorm your ideas. Your superhero must be ORIGINAL and interesting. Fill in the information on the ‘Speed Dating Game Profile Card.’ Your profile card MUST have a picture or drawing of your superhero.

Part #2 - The Speed Dating Game

You will only have 3 minutes to talk with your date. (REMEMBER: You are the superhero character). When the time is finished, you will stop talking and move to your next date. Use the chart in Part #3 to keep track of the different people you meet. At the end of the game you will select a partner for your character. This is a communication activity -- Don’t READ your profile!
