HUMANITY IN AN APPLE

Carl Thomas Marcos IV Mangyan

Modern times made me not forget the story of an appleFor every bite it reminds me of the sin of Adam and EveIt made me think of the time when my mom conceived meNow I grew big to be 10 years oldYou could call it a twist of thought but .....Should we blame Adam and Eve for our existenceThat red, round fruitHow delightful to think that humanity began with that delicious apple

Yummy AppleLorenzo Basas1 Yakal I like apples, its very very crunchyIts also very healthyAnd its full of Vitamin CBest of all, its yummy!

  The Lovable Apple

Francis C. Roa      Grade 2‐ Apo

I think that there shall never be,

A fruit as loved as much by me.

An apple so red, juicy and tasty,

Perfect for kids who are strong and mighty.

With every bite comes  a crispy crunch,

Oozing with goodness I love to munch.

They say, an apple a day

Keeps the doctor away.

I say, eaCng apples for life

Makes me healthy and alive!

An Apple a DayGian Franco Anastacio (with the help of daddy Warren)4-Tboli

Isn't it any wonderHow such a beloved fruit has come yonder?

Unassuming, red, shiny perfection,Can be eaten whole, sliced or served in sections.

A familiar favorite, though, often told; That's fillled many a breakfast cereal bowl.

With wheat, berries and plenty of bananasThey go well with nuts, milk and sultanas.

Loaded with vitamins, minerals and fiberServed anytime - breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Its tale legendary storytellers spunOf witches, dwarves and lady - heart's won.

Need I say more - less I be a boreI've pretty muh eaten this fruit to the core.

Washingtons, Delicious, Granny Smiths and Fujis,Its a little hard to tell, counting is not easy.

So do remember the truth that old wives' tale say,One each day, really keeps the doctor away.

Should I shall I must I eat an apple? Joshua Llanto of 6Burgos

Should I shall I must I eat an apple?       They say it’s cheap ‘cause it’s free. I say it’s killing a tree. They say it makes me healthy. But does it make me wealthy?

Should I shall I must I eat an apple? They say it’s good for you. I say “What does it do?”They say it’s a gift. Well, yeah it does give us a lift!

I should, I shall, I must eat an apple! It’s free, not killing a tree. Wealth isn’t everything, it makes us healthy. It’s good for you, what does it do? It makes us wealthy, in energy! Of course, it’s a gift, from God Almighty!

AN APPLE’S BRILLIANCEArvin Rulloda of  6Burgos

Imagine something delightful in taste. Something shiny, red and heart‐shaped. A fruit that doesn’t go to waste. It existed back in the early days. Given by God the Almighty. Eaten in many ways.

It is given to teachers as a sign of obedience. Bitten by Adam, Eve and Snow White. All because of its brilliance. Found in a tree with a very tall height.

What fruit could be an example? Nothing but an apple!

WHEN SUNSHINE BREAKS HORIZONAnton Cabalza 6Burgos

When sunshine breaks horizon, often a night of storm and rain. When the Nlying spears stop coming and gone is all the pain.

When eagles soar above the clouds while the forest burns below. When people dash to the end of the tunnel when they see a faint white glow.

When a butterNly spreads wings after a period spent held bound. When a tiny, young sproutling emerges on a barren, post‐winter ground.

When a poisonous apple can makea prince lock his sweetest kiss.And this apple now transformsthe kingdom to its majestic peace.

When a ladder comes to pick you up as you’re trapped in a dark abyss. When fulNillment overcomes dilemma That is what love is.

APPLE LOVEJ3 Jiao of 6 Burgos

An apple is a fruit that people love. As pure as heart, as beautiful as a dove. You get a smile after a bite it stops your hunger and gives you might.

APPLE, APPLEBryan Urgel of 6Burgos

Apple, apple, My beloved food;

Made by God, I shall eat you. Are you nutritious or delicious?

Everybody loves you, and now I shall too.

LOVE

Godfred Benjamin Rojas of 6Burgos

Love is nice and sweetAs sweet as an apple or twoLove is what I can give you

and it’s the only thing I can do.To make you mine is my hobby.

It’s as easy as growing an apple tree.Forever this will be, because I love thee.

But wait are you with another guy?

Oh my!Oh such cruel irony that fate has made

I want you to realize,That you’re the apple of my eyes.

And I’m offering this sweet, red fruitAs a sign of my love, and that’s the truth.

ApplEpalLuis Umpangco of 6Burgos

Apple Epal What’s the difference? Not much for one they are both words that use only p‐a‐l and e. An apple has little energy, 4% of your daily requirement. And it takes just a bit of energy to tell your friend he’s epal because he is and he knows it. Apples have been around for so long, like epal people. Apple and epal both hurt and heal. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but it makes Snow White’s life go away. Trying to make rhymes is an epal thing, it can hurt or heal like what an apple brings. Now what about the differences, they’re too small to make use of your senses. Well just kidding or maybe not. Rhyming poems are not exactly hot. In both senses literal and Nigurative. What word rhymes with Nigurative? That would Nit in with all these words? The words are Nlying around like birds at the tip of my tongue, like an apple crumb. Those two didn’t rhyme it’s about time, I return to apples or epals but what on earth is that? Is this poem forced, is it even a poem? I’m now going to wrap this up with a Ninal rhyme ever since the top. Apple, epal who on earth cares? No one as far as the polar bears.  Did you think this would be over? Not the poem, just the rhymes or am I lying? As I veer away from the topic of apples. Or as stated in the title, the insult epal. While I read the word epal on a can of apple juice, I take a picture to remind myself of the true difference. It is the spelling and the meaning and the ways they are used. Apple is a noun in English language you can see, feel and smell and taste and maybe hear. Do you think epal is that same noun? No. It isn’t. For in Filipino it is a trait. Maybe in Filipino slang. Apple and epal are different. Maybe in more ways than I can imagine, but they are

Page 9: Apple Poems by Ateneo Grade School students

different too in some oves you might.ther ways. A difference near last is the fact that you can eat an apple, but not an epal (word). Near last isn’t last unlike this one: epal cannot be cooked unlike apple which is turned into apple pie. Now I’m telling the truth, this will end, in a few seconds unless you read really slow, but I don’t think “apple epal epal apple Nin end this is it it’s the end” in more than a few seconds so that’s all. Apple epal epal apple Nin end this is it it’s the end.

APPLE MAGICChristian Delos Reyes of Burgos

What is the fruit that tastes so good? It helps us have a good mood. It is treated by some people as a dude. They sometimes call it Jude. It is like our heart that has something inside. It is like a beautiful stone that our Nlesh bides. It boosts the energy of our lives. There is something precious like beehives. It is an apple now you know what it is. You should close your eyes and make a wish. Now blow a kiss, and your wish is granted in a single swish!
