We will accept participants for this event that have products to

sell that are not handmade items, but we will give preference to

the participants that produce handmade items by placing them

on the southern most end of North 13th Street. That places

these participants closer to Walnut Street and the entrance to the

Arts & Crafts Fair area.

There will be one food concession in the Arts & Crafts Fair area

as a convenience for the participants.

The Murphysboro Apple Festival is southern Illinois’ oldest and

largest street festival. Over 40,000 people attend the festival

each year. During the four days of the Apple Festival there are

numerous activities drawing large crowds. Some of the

activities include evening stage shows, carnival, concessions,

queen pageant, prince and princess contest, and high school

marching band competition. Apple related competition from

apple pie eating to apple pie baking are held throughout the

week. There is a children’s pet and hobby parade on Friday

afternoon, and the grand parade on Saturday morning is the

largest in southern Illinois. Prior to the Saturday morning

parade there is a 5K walk/run race.

Please register early to assure your space at the Arts & Crafts

Fair. We will have 75 spaces available. We sold out early in

2015.

SHOW TIME:

Friday: 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

LOCATION: Corner of Walnut and North 13th

St.

SET-UP TIME: Check-in/Set up only at specified

time selected on registration form. Your space

assignment will be given at this time.

FEE: 10 x 12 (selling side 10’ wide x 12’ deep)

space with electric hook up $55.00 if registration is

postmarked by 7/30/16, $80.00 thereafter.

EQUIPMENT: Exhibitors are responsible for

whatever exhibit equipment they require. Covered

spaces are not provided. You must provide your

own tent.

Payment in full must accompany the signed registration

form! ! !

REGULATIONS:

1. The Apple Festival Arts & Crafts Committee

retains the right to refuse space to market

products deemed objectionable. No projectile

devices will be allowed. All on sight activities

subject to approval. No Third Party advertizing.

2. No charge for electricity. All exhibitors must

bring 100-foot extension cord and lighting.

Apple Festival reserves the right to limit

excessive use of electricity.

3. All display materials are the responsibility of

exhibitor. A neat, attractive display is important.

Entire display must be inside assigned area.

4. Each exhibitor is responsible to clean-up area

used by exhibitor.

5. No food or drinks are to be given as samples

by exhibitors. All food and drink items must

be in sealed containers. This will be strictly

enforced.

6. No tear down before end of show.

7. Illinois State Sales Tax is the responsibility of

the exhibitor.

8. No refunds of entry fee after July 31, 2016.

9. No cars or trucks will be allowed to park on

show property.

10. All exhibitor’s vehicles must be in, unloaded

and moved out of exhibit area within 20

minutes.

11. City ordinance prohibits raffles without permit.

Contact City of Murphysboro to secure the

permit at 1101 Walnut Street.

12. If you would like a confirmation that your

entry has been received, provide a current

email address on the entry form. An email

will be sent to you to let you know you have

been entered. Your space assignment will be

given at set-up time.

13. The phone number you provide on the entry

form must be one where you can be reached

during the Festival in the event we need to

contact you for any reason.
