Detergent

You can use commercially available liquidor powder proprietary detergents fordishwashers or TABS (do not usehandwash!).If phosphate-free detergents are used withhard tap water, white deposits may bedeposited more easily on utensils andthe container walls. This can be remediedby adding more detergent. As soon as combined detergentproducts are used, the rinseprogramme is adjusted automaticallyto ensure the best possible rinsing anddrying result.TipFollow the instructions for use or theinstructions on the detergent packagingto ensure that rinse-aid and salt are usedeffectively. If you have further questions, we recom-mend that you contact the detergentmanufacturers’ helpline.

Detergent dispenserwith dosing aidThe graduated detergent dispenser 29

Adding detergentPour detergent into the dispenser 29

(insert tablet flat, not on its edge). Dosage: see manufacturer’sinstructions on the packaging.Close the cover on the detergentdispenser by sliding it up until the lockengages without difficulty.

The detergent dispenser opensautomatically at the optimum timedepending on the programme. The powder or liquid detergentis distributed in the appliance andis dissolved, the tablet falls into thetablet collecting tray where it dissolvesin doses.

TipIf the utensils are only lightly soiled, slightly less than the indicated amountof detergent is usually adequate.

Warnings

Do not place small parts for washingin the tablet collecting tray 22 ; thisprevents the tablet from dissolvingevenly. If you want to add more utensils afterthe programme has started, do notuse the tablet collecting tray 22

as a handle for the upper basket. The tablet could already be there andyou will touch the partially dissolvedtablet.

Note

f programmes are short, tablets may nothave full cleaning effect due to differentdissolving properties and there mayeven be undissolved detergent residue. It is recommended to use washingpowder for these programmes. The Intensive programme (on somemodels) requires one tab only. Whenusing washing powder, you can applysome of this cleaning agent to theinside of the appliance’s door.If using detergents in a water-solubleprotective cover: Take hold of the coverwith dry hands only and put thedetergent into an absolutely drydetergent dispenser only, otherwisethe detergent may stick.

Programme selectionYou can select a suitable programmeaccording to the type of utensils anddegree of soiling.

Information about comparabilitytestsThe conditions for running comparabilitytests can be found on the supplementarysheet “Information for comparability tests”.

Additional options

* depending on modelAdditional options 5 can be set with thebuttons.

Saving time (VarioSpeed) *

The >>Save time<< function can reducethe running time by approx. 20% to 50%depending on the selected rinse pro-gramme. The change in the running timeis indicated on the digital display 9 .To obtain optimum cleaning results ata reduced running time, water and energyconsumption are increased.
