Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in the United Kingdom with just over 1.1M inhabitants in the Greater Glasgow area. During your stay, if you prefer to explore the city, you can enjoy the cultural offerings of museums, art galleries and universities as well as an exciting array of shopping and eating experiences. For nature and sight-seeing lovers, Glasgow is surrounded by many beautiful lochs, islands, castles and country parks.

There are many cultural and historic attractions in the city centre including Glasgow Cathedral and the Glasgow School of Art as well as the vibrant atmosphere of the busy shopping area of Buchannan Street. In the west end of Glasgow, you will find the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Hunterian Museum and the University of Glasgow established in the 15th century.

Glasgow is also well-known for its original pubs. You should not miss Òran Mór in the west end.

Why not stay over the weekend after you have finished your application course? Whether you are looking for sightseeing, culture, education, leisure, shopping, or sport – discover Glasgow.

Away from the city centre of Glasgow, you can learn more about whisky production at the Auchentoshan Distillery which is only 8 miles outside the city and offers daily tours.

Scotland is famous for its islands. The isle of Arran, off the west coast, is known as “Scotland in miniature” and deserves a visit for the beautiful landscapes, pretty villages and Brodick castle.

Explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park or Stirling Castle all of which are accessible by car or can be easily organised through a tourism agency.

Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city is just one hour from Glasgow by car or train and it is well worth visiting. The Edinburgh castle is a big attraction and offers wonderful views of the city and surrounding areas.

This is your journey—we are here to facilitate and personalise the experience to ensure that it lives up to your expectations.

Enjoy your stay.
