Make a check or money order payable to Stockton University. Applicants must also submit with the application all supporting documentation (transcripts, test scores, essay, recommendations). Academic RecordsAcademic records from ALL institutions where courses were taken must be sent to the Office of Enrollment Management. Transcripts must bear the school seal. Electronic transcripts are acceptable from the institution where the credits were earned, i.e., via Naviance. Unofficial transcripts are not acceptable. Freshman ApplicantsStudents who have not yet graduated from high school are considered FRESHMAN APPLICANTS regardless of how many college credits may have been earned. If you have graduated from high school and are currently in your first semester of college, you are considered a transfer and must file the TRANSFER APPLICATION. The required documentation for freshman applicants includes: • Completed Application • $50 application fee • Official high school transcipt* • SAT and/or ACT scores • Two to three letters of recommendation • Essay * If you have earned a GED, submit your
equivalency test scores and high school transcripts for years attended.
If you have attended any college or post-high school institution, or have been enrolled in any college courses or dual credit courses, you must supply Stockton University with an official transcript from the institution where those courses were taken or where the credit had been earned.
International ApplicantsInternational student applicants require TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores and additional documentation along with the Freshman application requirements. All International applicants must provide a photocopy of their passport with their application. Dance & Theatre Applicants - AuditionFor Dance and Theatre audition requirements, information and appointment dates, please contact the School of Arts & Humanities directly at 609-652-4505. Visual Arts Applicants -Portfolio RequirementsIncoming freshmen students applying for Visual Arts must submit a portfolio of work and select an area of concentration. Visual Arts Interdisciplinary is recommended for transfer students and education majors looking for more flexibility in choosing courses. A portfolio is not required for Art History majors.
Portfolio should contain 12 images in any media (painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, mixed-media, and/or digital media) including still life drawings (not copies of paintings or photographs) and a self-portrait drawing (required) as direct observation from a mirror. All work must be original – copies of other artists’ work will not be accepted.
Send images (.jpg) on CD formatted for MAC or cross platform. Save each file with a lowercase name and no spaces (eg., smith_john_01.jpg; smith_john_02.jpg; etc.). Include documentation indicating Name, Title, Medium and Dimensions of each piece. Submit your portfolio with your Application for Admission. If you are applying online, send your portfolio separately.
If you would like your portfolio returned, include a self-addressed, stamped protective envelope. We cannot be responsible for any lost items.
Non-Matriculated Student ApplicantsA non-matriculated student may take courses for credit at Stockton, but is not enrolled in nor working toward a degree. Non-matriculated students may register for up to eight (8) credits per semester on a space available basis. Non-matriculated students must apply for admission (matriculation) prior to earning 24 credits. Non-matriculated Stockton students applying for admission must submit a progress report for each course in which they are currently enrolled. (Progress report forms available in the Office of Enrollment Management.)

Special ProgramsIn addition to an earlier application deadline, the Accelerated Pre-Medicine, Dual Degree Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Engineering programs require a separate additional application form. Please find these forms at stockton.edu/apply.
Physical TherapyPhysical Therapy is a doctoral degree program. Students interested in Physical Therapy most commonly choose Biology or Health Science as a major. Students can choose an alternate major once enrolled at Stockton.
Occupational TherapyOccupational Therapy is a master’s degree program. Students interested in Occupational Therapy most commonly choose Health Science, Psychology or Public Health as a major. Students can choose an alternate major once enrolled at Stockton.
Dual Degree Criminal Justice BA/MAThe dual degree Criminal Justice Program will consider Freshman students with a minimum 3.3 GPA from high school, top 20% of the class, and a combined SAT of 1,100 or greater (Critical Reading and Math only). Meeting these minimum requirements does not necessarily guarantee acceptance into the dual degree program. Contact Dr. Marissa Levy,[email protected] to determine eligibility.
Pre-Professional Studies Stockton’s flexible curriculum allows for preparation for professional careers such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and law while pursuing a traditional major. If you are interested in these professions, check the appropriate option at the end of the list of academic majors.
ScholarshipsStockton offers a generous range of merit-based scholarship awards. No separate application is required for new-student scholarships. All students offered admission are considered for first time student scholarships. The Scholarship Committee selects award recipients based on their academic record. See Stockton’s website for scholarship details.
Financial AidApplicants wishing to be considered for need-based financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 for the fall term, and by August 15 for the spring term. The FAFSA must be completed and filed electronically via the Internet at fafsa.gov. Stockton’s federal school code is 009345.
Health RequirementsAll students are required to provide proof of IMMUNIZATION prior to enrolling in a degree program. Please visit the Health Services website at stockton.edu/wellness for details of the Requirements for Registration as mandated by N.J. State Law and Stockton University. If accepted for admission, your enrollment packet will include details and deadlines regarding health requirement documentation.

Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF)New Jersey residents only.EOF is a special admissions program for students who meet certain financial and academic requirements. Applicants to the EOF program must be seeking full time admission, have been a resident of New Jersey for at least 12 months prior to entering Stockton, and come from an educationally and economically disadvantaged background. Students receive extensive counseling, tutorial and other support services to ensure success at Stockton. A residential five-week pre-college summer program is required of all students who are admitted through the EOF program. This rigorous pre-college program is designed to strengthen academic, social and self-discipline skills required to succeed in college and life. Please review the following gross family income guidelines to determine if you may be eligible and wish to be considered for the EOF program.

To apply for the EOF program, submit the Freshman Application AND complete the EOF application/questions. All students applying for the EOF program must also file the FAFSA by March 1. (See Financial Aid above.) Stockton’s federal school code is 009345.
Eligibility RequirementsTo be eligible for an EOF grant, an applicant must satisfy the following criteria:
• Residency – An applicant must demonstrate that s/he has been a legal resident of New Jersey for at least 12 months prior to receiving an EOF grant. In this case, legal New Jersey residency means that s/he does not live in New Jersey only for the purpose of obtaining an education.
• Academic – The applicant must exhibit evidence for potential success in college through the quality of their coursework in high school.
• Financial – To be eligible for an EOF grant, a student must demonstrate that s/he meets the financial criteria established below as either a dependent or independent applicant.
• Dependent Applicant – A dependent applicant is one who normally resides with his/her parent(s) or guardian(s). The income of a dependent applicant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) must not exceed the limitations on the EOF Income Eligibility Scale.
• Independent Applicant – An independent applicant is one who meets at least one of the following criteria:
° 24 years of age before end of calendar year
° Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces ° Enrolled in a graduate or professional
program for the next academic year ° Married ° An orphan, ward of the court, or was a
ward of the court until age 18 ° Legal dependents (other than spouse).
An independent student who received public assistance as the primary means of family support is presumed to be eligible without regard to the amount. An independent applicant may submit evidence of a background of “historical poverty” in place of specific information concerning parents’ or guardians’ income.
