Since she was 6 she had seizures (lose conscience and uncontrollably shake)

At 18 the seizures returned with more intensity and by 27 she decided to have a surgery that would sever her connection between the left and right Hemisphere

This is done when medicine has no affect

Split Brain Split-brain operation

involves cutting the wide band of fibers, called the corpus callosum– connects the two hemisphere (200 million nerve fibers)

The procedure stops the spread of the seizures from spreading to the other hemisphere

Split Brain Michael Gazzaniga found

that on the damaged side individuals seemed to be blind to what they saw (ART exam of HEART with Victoria)
