For the ‘’My Passions’’ poster assignment I tried to not only visually represent my personal passions but as well as the emotions they make me feel.>>>>>>>>>>

We were assigned to visually express our sensations with this terrible Haiku:

The apple is blue. The pond is red. My mind is clear.

For the packaging assignment, I chose to take the blank packaging and apply graphics to evoke an emo-tional response. We used a white Tetra-pak and the product assigned was to be water. The shape was to help us think two dimensionally and not concentrate on the actually design of the bottle.

I wanted to convey a sense of adventure and tough-ness, all while having a little humor with the viewer at the same time. The packaging gives the look of an old military canteen, but can clearly be seen as the boxy Tetra-Pak it is.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

For the poster assignment I chose to try and express motivational reasoning for why people do the extreme sports they do. People can say they are passionate about a sport, but the question I wanted to raise was why? What drives you?‘’Surfing, alone among sports, generates laughter at ‘’Surfing, alone among sports, generates laughter at its very suggestion, and this is because it turns not a skill into an art, but an inexplicable and useless urge into a vital way of life.’’ -Matt WarshawIt is experience that transcends into the way one can It is experience that transcends into the way one can live their live. I chose this quote by the famous ‘’Zen-Master’’, John Kabat-Zinn because of its deeper double meaning. Just like the ocean, Life will throw many waves and challenges your way. You must ask yourself, why fight them? When you can embrace and overcome. It is the simple challenge of the sport which drives It is the simple challenge of the sport which drives people to become passionate about the experience.
