You Need :

Your Login ID ( Trading Account)

Your Cust ID (Bank Account )

Your Net-Banking password.



ASBA – mode to apply for IPOs

ASBA : A pplication Supported by Blocked Amounts.

Investor can choose the option to invest in IPOs through -

ASBA or Non ASBA status.

Advantages of ASBA :

– Amount would be blocked in Bank a/c & will be

debited from Bank a/c only on allotment of shares.

– Earn interest on your money till allotment

– No hassle of refunds



Logon to Online Trading a/c

You Need to : Enter Username (Login id)

Enter Password (E-broking password)

Click on Log on



Placing an IPO Order - Online

Log onto the trading site visit IPO/FD Section click on Place Order

• Step 1 – Welcome page

• Step 2 – IPO/FD Page



Placing an IPO Order – Home section

On clicking on IPO/FD Section Select the IPO click on APPLY

On clicking on APPLY Select the Investor status Non-ASBA or

ASBA for Retail or HNI category option to Apply for IPO.



Placing IPO Order

1. IPO issue details

with min amount

& lot size.

2. Lot size of

shares to apply.

3. Cut-off price

4. Click on PlaceOrder

7. Click on - I Agree8. You would receive a

message for shortfall of

funds – To block funds for

IPO order 9. Click on SUBMIT

Steps To Place An IPO Order Online

• Log on to our website www.hdfcsec.com• Click on Trade Now

• Click on IPO / FD section

• Select IPO company• Click on Apply

• Select the Investor Type

– ( Retail / ASBA-Retail / Non Institution (HNI)or Non Institution ASBA )

• Enter the quantity of shares for bidding

• Click on Cut-Off or Type the bidding price

• Click on Proceed



To Place An IPO Order Online (Contd…)

• Click on Confirm

• You will get a message of shortfall of funds

(Hold funds)

• Click on Submit

• Click on Place Order to complete the order.



Order Book – track your IPO order

You may check the status of the order in your

Order Book in the IPO section.



Cancellation of Order

You can revise/cancel IPO order only for ASBAapplications.

Under Order Book Select the IPO click on Submit

Select Modify or Cancel

Note: Order can be revised / cancelled only in Ordered or

Executed status.
