Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager You will manage a manufacturing area running across a 24/7-shift pattern and deliver performance targets measured through KPI attainment, you will be responsible for championing a culture of total world class manufacturing. Your duties will include managing and training your team via coaching, appraisal, mentoring and leading by example. You wil l controloperational KPI’s within budget and ensure efficient operation and control in your area. Production meetings will be held daily and monthly and all findings communicated with your team.
Taking on projects you will deliver continuous improvement from idea generation to completion. These improvements will be implemented across all shifts. A high degree of coaching people is required through the training and development of their skills.
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Shift Manager with a food manufacturing background. You will be an ambitious individual with the energy and ideas to implement change and drive the business forward. You will be joining the site management team responsible for introducing new systems whilst improving quality and enhancing procedures. Responsible for all aspects of the Technical and Health and Safety functions this is a key role responsible for technical and operational issues across the business ensuring compliance to food safety requirements, legislation and quality systems. You will also be responsible for driving the people on site to achieve the company’s focus of a total quality culture environment
You will be of graduate calibre with site management experience in Food/Drink/ FMCG manufacturing and a proven record of change management. A commercially aware, customer focussed individual you will need to demonstrate strong leadership qualities to take the business forward.
