¿QUÉ ES ESTO?

Informal Tú Command: used when speaking to friends, family, or

children.

Opposite of the formal command.

Can be affirmative or negative.

AFIRMATIVO - ¿CÓMO PUEDO HACER

ESTO?

First, let‟s look at the afirmativo or „positive‟ informal tú

commands.

Let‟s take the verb „bailar‟.

Bailar (infinitive) Baila (remove the „r‟, or conjugate in the

„él/ella/Usted‟ form) “¡Baila conmigo!”

Now let‟s practice with the following verbs…

-Escribir

- Caminar

- Creer

- Beber

- Cantar

NEGATIVO- ¿CÓMO PUEDO HACER

ESTO?

Next, let‟s look at the negative informal tú commands.

Let‟s take the verb „mirar‟.

Mirar (infinitive) Mira (remove the „r‟, or conjugate in the „él/ella/Usted‟ form) Mires (use the tú form with the opposite ending, „ar‟ verbs change to „es‟ and „er/ir‟ verbs change to „as‟) “¡No mires!”

Now let‟s practice with the following verbs…
