Master Plan Study for Railway System and High Speed Train

Development

Project Description: The formulation of the master plan and feasibility study for railway system development is based on the studies of infrastructures related to the current railway network, dual track system, maintenance shop, feasibility of the high speed train project and the impacts on the country macro-development, electric system use for a long distance train by a rolling stock system and railway use according to its function.

Rama VIII Bridge

The Rama VIII Bridge: The cable-stayed bridge consists of a single pylon located approximately one-third of the distance from the northwest end of the bridge. Golden suspension cables extend from this pylon to the road surface. The Bridge is 2.45 km long including approach spans, and spans the Chao Phraya River. The bridge is named after the eighth monarch of the Chakri dynasty, King Ananda mahidol. It has become a notable tourist attraction.

Bhumibol Bridge

The Bhumibol Bridge also known as the Industrial Ring Road Bridge is part of the 13 km long Industrial Ring Road connecting southern Bangkok with Samut Prakan Province. The bridge crosses the Chao Phraya River twice, with two striking cable-stayed spans of lengths of 702 m and 582 m supported by two diamond-shaped pylons 173 m and 164 m high. Where the two spans meet, another road rises to join them at a free-flowing interchange suspended 50 metres above the ground.

Khwae Noi Dam

Project Description: The project consists of three types of dams namely concrete- faced rockfill dam, earth core rockfill dam and earthfill dam. It is also equipped with 38 MW hydropower plant. The storage capacity is 912 MCM and the construction cost is 8,000 million baht. (246 million USD)

Formulation of National Spatial Policy and Development Plan for

Thailand

Project Description: The project is mainly aimed at arraying major factors concerning the globalization of Thailand and formulating the national comprehensive plan based on the vision, objectives and goals of the spatial development. The project outputs include a 50-year policy plan, 30-year strategic plan and 15-year action plan.
