Letter to the BuzzSt Marie HappeningsPENDING- The St Marie Development Corp bankruptcy case #14-60106-11 should clear out and clean up creditors, liens, judgments, and titles clouding many St Marie properties...be it Chapter 11 or Chapter 7.OWNERS COVENANT MEETING- Terry-Lee told me that he plans on having another owners covenant meeting at the Base Chapel with all condo owners notified and invited to voice their opinions. I told Lee that I will challenge him with a few basic questions at that future meeting. Lee responded “Ask me now and I will answer up front.” This prompted me to have a chat with Terry-Lee regarding the issues.INTERVIEW- An interview with Terry-Lee, proclaimed Sovereign Being, Sole Bishop of The Society of the Ones of the Dove, and a Citizen of The Montana Dejure State with an Abode in St Marie. Following are my questions with Lee’s answers verbatim as well as in writing by his own hand:QUESTION #1- Why do you wish to succeed in the most recent action against the Village Association Directors (#DV-2013-57 Valley County) and what’s in it for you? LEE ANSWER- This case is to determine exactly what Article X of the Protective Covenants says and means. I believe it says 51% of all unit and property owners meeting at any time have the Right (and they are the only entity with such Rights) to vote and approve any amendment to these Protective Covenants of St Marie so as to protect their property Rights from any group of people or tyrants elected to some office that may attempt to deny their said Rights.QUESTION #2- If successful, what do you and others plan to do in St Marie and what will the costs be for the people of St Marie and Valley County? LEE ANSWER- Simple! Turn any unit other than St Marie Association condo units into Townhomes where they own the building (part) that houses their unit and ownership of the lot beneath to their exclusive owner. This is an option, there is no requirement to do so. How much to convert is uncertain at this time, but approximately $1,000 to $2,000 dollars per unit....to file with the State, survey, and record per Montana Unit Ownership Act of 2011, House Bill 460. Valley County will realize higher tax revenues due to Townhomes having more value than Condos.QUESTION #3- How will this Case (#DV-2013-57) help all the people of St Marie and Valley County? LEE ANSWER- This case will allow the non St Marie Condo Association condo unit owners the ability and option to change their unit ownership to that of a Townhome with Fee Simple Ownership. As a result, the value of their unit will go up and the County will receive increased taxes.OPINION- It was felt that releasing a preview of the facts and issues may generate understanding and civility somewhat, with less yelling, cussing, and doubt at the next condo owners meeting in the Base Chapel. ~ Nick Chiechi, St. Marie

Long-Term Care Insurance: Montana’s Partnership Program

Montanans have a new alternative to consider paying for long-term care while protecting their assets. This webinar will explain the partnership program that provides an incentive to purchase long-term care insurance partnership policies. The incentive is protection from the requirement that Montanans have to spend down financial resources to enable them to qualify for Medicaid benefits. Please join the Valley County MSU Extension Service at 12:05 in the community room of the Valley County Courthouse on Wednesday, April 16th for another session in the 2013-2014 Solid Finances series.

Travels have gone well this month, and I am thankful for your prayers through this time. Many of you have casually or more seriously asked me in recent months about what my plans are for the rest of the year. In the midst of praying about and considering what God’s plans for me are after this initial two year commitment, I came across a quote by CS Lewis that has encouraged me to rest, refocus, and trust God.

“Never, in peace or war, commit your virtue or your happiness to the future. Happy work is best done by the

The anticipation of thousands of Montana’s hopeful deer and elk hunters is nearly over. “We know hunters’ are anxious to hear if they drew a buck deer or bull elk permit,” said Ron Aasheim, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks spokesperson. “These will be the first big game hunting permit drawing results of the year.” The drawing will start Wednesday, April 16 and the results will be posted on the FWP website as they are completed. Aasheim said hunters should watch the FWP website at fwp.mt.gov for the drawing results announcement. Click “MyFWP” and then enter your ALS information. Hunters should keep in mind that the deadline is Thursday, May 1st to apply for moose, bighorn sheep, bison and mountain goat licenses available through a drawing. June 2nd is the deadline to apply for antelope, deer B and elk B licenses.

A father and son went fishing one day. While they were out in the boat, the boy suddenly became curious about the world around him. He asked, “How does this boat float?” The father replied, “Don’t rightly know son.” A little later, the boy looked at his father and asked, “How do fish breath underwater?” Once again the father replied, “Don’t rightly know son.” A little later the boy asked his father, “Why is the sky blue?” Again, the father repied. “Don’t rightly know son.” Finally, the boy asked his father, “Dad, do you mind my asking you all of these questions?” The father replied, “Of course not, iffin’ you don’t ask’ny questions, you never learn nothin’.”
