The Requirements

• Write a book suitable for children in 2nd grade• Incorporate the four main groups of fungi in a

narrative, but instructional way.• Include pictures, clip art, and characteristics of

each major group.• Create a main character • Create an activity for students to do that helps

them learn the parts of fungi

Partners

• On the index card you receive, indicate the names of three people who you can work well with.– These people should share the responsibilities with

you• You may work alone• Once you receive your partner, begin

identifying the 4 groups of fungi, and create character webs

Requirements

• Cover page including title, your name– Make it decorative, use yarn, stickers, etc.

• Table of contents– Must show each “chapter” and page

• Content pages: well written, neat, colorful, and inviting.• Glossary

– Include challenging terms, and their definitions.• Activity (included in the book)

– Examples: coloring page, puzzle, game (no word searches)
