Don't get me wrong, I love the beauty of Christmas; the manger; the shepherds on that dark starry night; the appearance of the angels; and then that silent, reverent scene when all are gathered around the babe. But... the resurrection, who can deny the power and the victory that flows from the Easter story. "The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.'" Of all the messages of Easter, the one that shouts out the loudest is that in Christ there are new beginnings. Think upon these three points, Max Lucado calls "Anchor Points." 1 - My life is not futile: Think about it. God sent His Son to die for you, so that you will live for Him. No matter what your life has been like. No matter what you've done. Know that God has a plan for your life, and wants you to live out that new abundant life. Jesus is the Lord of new beginnings. 2 - My failures are not fatal: No story highlights the errors of man more than the story of Easter. The pride of the Jews blinded them from seeing Jesus for who He was. Fear caused Peter to deny knowing Christ three times. The iron fist of Roman rule tried Jesus over and over again, only to submit to the shouts of a misled mob. All of their failures led Jesus to His cross. Yet, three days after He was crucified; after laying lifeless and cold in a stone tomb, Jesus rose! Your failures are not fatal! Jesus is the Lord of new beginnings. 3 - My death is not final: Jesus conquered death. This is the heart of our faith: that through faith in Jesus we can have everlasting life. As Paul shouted from the roof tops, "Death, where is your sting!" This is our victory cry. Jesus will give us a new beginning, in our final home, heaven. MessengerThere is no doubt that Easter is the highlight of all celebrations of the church. Think upon these three points, Max Lucado calls "Anchor Points."

1 - My life is not futile: Think about it.

God bless your Easter celebration and fill your hearts with hope in Him.

Missions: Addressing a CrisisNote:  The  following  message  was  sent  to  us  by  Pauline  Nishida,  of   LA   Connect,  Campus  Crusade  for  Christ  on  March  18,  2011.    WCCC  does  not  support  Pauline  financially  now  but  we  are  so  grateful  that  God  is  using  Pauline  in  this  way  (and  many  others).    The  original  message  is  from  Lillian  Shinoda.

Lillian  Shinoda,   serving   in   Japan,   is  the  only  missionary   sponsored   by  our   conference,   the  OMS   Holiness  Conference  of  North  America.    Formerly  Dean  of  Women  at  Tokyo  Biblical  Seminary,  her  primary  responsibility  now  is  reaching  out  to  the  unsaved  youth  of  Japan.    She  also  ministers,  as  she  has  for  years,  at  Sakado  Church.    She  wrote  the  following  on  March  18.

Hi  Friends,  This  is  a  real  quick  email  but  I'm  asking  for  your  urgent  prayers. The  nuclear  plant  is  at  a  major  turning  point  tonight  (right  now)  and  we  need  your  prayers.    You  may  have  heard  already  but  the  Japanese  government  declared  the  plant  to  be  at  danger   level  5  as  there's  a  possible  breach  in  the  reactor.    They  were  going  to  try  and  douse  the  reactors  (namely  reactor  #3)  with  water  again  but  decided  to  concentrate  all   efforts  on   restoring   electrical  power   to   the   plant   so   they   could   use   the  water   pumps,   which  would  be  far  more  effecZve.     As  it   turns  out,   the  project   head   is  a   ChrisZan.     His   name  is  Naoyoshi   Satoh,  believed  to  be  a  member  of   the  First  BapZst  Church  of   Fukushima.    At  such  a  Zme  as  this,  God  has  placed  a  ChrisZan  in  the  midst!

•    So  please  join  all  of  us  so  we  can  pray  as  one.    Pray   for  God's  anoinZng  upon  Satoh-‐san.    Pray  for  a  miracle,  and  that  he  and  his  team  will  be  able  to  accomplish  restoring  electricity  to  the  badly  damaged  power  plant  and  that  the  water  pumps  will  be  funcZonal  to  cool  the  reactors  down.

•    Also,  please  pray  that  just  as  Shadrach,  Meshach,  and  Abednego  were  protected  from  the  burning  furnace,  Satoh-‐san,  his  team,  the  firefighters,  police  officers,  members  of  the  self-‐defense  force  and  government  officials  on  the  scene  will  also  be  fully  protected  from  all  harm.•    And  pray  for  a  soluZon  to  the  crack  in  the  reactor  which  could  result  in  major  radiaZon  leakage.

•  May  all  those  involved  witness  the  power  and  majesty  of  God  that  all  glory  will  be  his.

Thank  you,    Lillian

WCCC  will  have  the  privilege  of  being  visited  by  Lillian  quite  soon.    In  the  meanZme,  the  following  message  is  from  Karen  (Uriu)  Nakamura  who,  with  her  husband,  Mitsu,  serve  Japan  Campus  Crusade.    Her  informaZon  is  from  a  Japanese  ChrisZan  Facebook   site!     She  shares  the  message  with  us  in   the  U.S.   and  those  all  over   the  world,  as  well  as  in  Japan!    PRAY   THAT  THIS  MESSAGE  BE   HEARD  BY  ALL  WHO  HAVE  NEVER  TRULY  HEARD  THE  NAME  OF  JESUS  CHRIST.    Karen  writes:

Dear  Friends,    There  is  a  Facebook  site  called  "ChrisZanJishinHisaiJoho"  with  info  from  ChrisZans  in  the  stricken  areas.  Following  is  some  info  from  that  and  from  a  pastor  friend.

Pastor  Akira  Sato  of  Fukushima  First  BapZst  Church  writes  that,  apart  from  Mr.  Naoyoshi  Satoh,  there  are  5  other  church  members  who  are  working  at  the  nuclear  power  plant  now.  Pray  for  all  the  workers,  ChrisZan  or  not,  who  are  risking   their   lives  working   on   the  front   lines,   that  God  will  protect   them  and  guide  them   to  a  successful  outcome.

May   Jeremiah  33:9  become  true  here,   "Then  this  city  will   bring  me  renown,   joy,   praise  and  honor  before  all  naZons  on  earth  that  hear  of  all  the  good  things  I  do  for  it..."

Another  person  wrote  that  N.  Satoh,  the  leader  of  this  team,  "has  diabetes  and  his  health  is  deterioraZng  from  faZgue,   tension   and   lack  of  medical  care  he  needs.  So  pray   that  he  would  be  sustained   both   spiritually   and  physically."

[Con$nued  from  Page  3]

Nuclear  ReactorPastor   A.  Sato   also  wrote   that   a  man  was  scheduled  to  work  at  the  plant  the  night  of  the  earthquake.  His  wife,  who   is  a   church  member,  urged   him  to   evacuate  with   the  family.  At   the  evacua$on   center,  a  church,  the  man  put  his  trust  in  Christ  as  Savior,  on  Mar.   17.  He   then   said   that   he   could   not  stay   away   while   his   co-‐workers   were  bravely  figh$ng.  He  went  back  to  work.  He  spent   his   birthday,   Mar   20,   working.  His  wife   and   children   pray   with   anxious  hearts.

"I  liI  up  my  eyes  to  the  hills  -‐  where  does  my  help  come  from?  My  help  comes  from  the   LORD,   the   Maker   of   heaven   and  earth..."  Psalm  121

From   my   understanding,   as   of   yesterday,  they   were   able   to   get   electricity   to   the  reactors,   but   there   are   s$ll   steps   to   go  un$l   the   cooling   process  is   ac$vated,  and  there  are  uncertain$es  such  as  new  smoke  coming  from  one  reactor.

There   are   about   50   people   from  Fukushima   who   have   evacuated   and   are  staying  at  our  church  here  in  Tokyo  and  at  a  nearby  dormitory.

A  friend  reminded  me  that,  while  this  is  a  trait   common   to   many   Japanese,   people  from   Tohoku   are   especially   known   to   be  "gaman-‐dzuyoi"   (strong,   enduring   trials

stoically).  May  these  dear   ones  know  they  can   be   strong,   not   in   themselves,  but   in  the  Creator  of  heaven  and  earth,  who  also  showed  his  love  for  us  by  taking  on  human  flesh  and  dying  for  us.Love,  Karen,  for  Mitsu,  Abe,  Miye  and  Emi

Lillian  had  wri@en,  “At  such  a  Xme  as  this,  God   has   placed   a   ChrisXan   in   the  midst!"    Here   is  (MORE)   EVIDENCE  THAT  GOD  IS  WORKING  IN  OUR  MIDST:

Naoyoshi   Satoh's   church   belongs   to   the  Bap$st   Conven$on   of   Japan.     The   Japan  Bap$st   Conven$on,   which   successfully  helped   vic$ms  of   the  Kobe   earthquake   in  1995,   is   spearheading   an   effort   to   raise  support   for   the   thousands  who   have   lost  everything   from   the   present   earthquake  and   tsunami.    The   Chief  Execu,ve   Officer  of  the  Bap,st  Conven,on  is  Makoto  Kato.    Do  you   think  it's  coincidental  that  Makoto  is   the  brother  of  Kaori   Kato,  a  member   of  our  Nichigobu?!    Kaori  a\ends  our  English  services,  has  helped  with  KWP  Orange   for  a   long  $me   and,   coun$ng   this   issue,  has  contributed   twice   to   the   English   part   of  the  Messenger.

A s   M i t s u o   F u j i s h i m a ,   a   S E N D  InternaXonal   missionary   whom   we   also  support   had  wri\en   regarding  the  crisis  in  Japan,  “Let  us  be  "confident  in  this,  that  we  will  see   the   goodness  of   the  Lord   in   the  land  of   the   living"   (Psalm   27:13),   "and   let   us  work  together  for  His  Kingdom!"

“Prayer Buddies”–The gift of prayer:

What   greater   gih   can   be   given?   And  how  important  when  that  gih   is  given  to   a  precious   young   child,   whose   life  will  be   shaped   either   by  God’s   values  or   by   worldly   ones.   Kelly   Morimune  asks   us   to   impact   a   child’s   life   by  praying   for   him   or   her.   Look   around  and   see   what   a   difference   God’s  presence   early   in   a   child’s   life   can  make!  And   let’s  make  sure  that  every  child   in   our   Sunday   School   is   being  prayed   for  by   at   least  one  of   us.  Sign  up  on  the  “Prayer  Buddy  board”  at  the  back  of  the  sanctuary.  And  if  you  don’t  know   a   child   who   has   yet   to   be  s e l e c t e d ,   w h a t   a   wo n d e r f u l  opportunity!   Opportunity   for   whom?  Like  Jean  Hara  said   years  ago,  “When  someone  is  prayed   for,   it’s  the  prayer  who  is  ohen  blessed  the  most!”

Spotlight  on  Worship

Welcome,  Tina  Whitley!!Interview  by  Renae  and  Darren  Kishimoto

We  welcome  Tina  Whitley,  the  newest  member  of   our  worship  ministry.    We  interviewed  her  and  here’s  what  she  said.

Where  were  you  born  and  raised?I  was  born  in  San  Francisco  and    moved  to  the  East  Bay  when  I  was  5  years  old,  at  which  Zme  I  began  amending  Japanese  ChrisZan  Church  of  Walnut  Creek.  During  childhood,  I  would  go  to  Fukuoka,  Japan  for  1-‐3  months  at  a  Zme  to  see  family  and  friends.    In  2005  I  moved  to  Southern  California  to  amend  UC  Riverside,  where  I  received  my  degree  in  piano  performance.

What  made  you  decide  to  pursue  a  music  degree?I  began  piano  lessons  when  I  was  5  years  old.  My  parents  gave  my  brother  and  me  the  opZon  to  parZcipate  in  1  extracurricular  acZvity  and  I  chose  music,  which  ended  up  guiding  my  choice  of  colleges  and  majors.

When  did  you  start  worship  leading  and  what  do  you  enjoy  most  about  it?At  age  12  I  began  as  a  pianist  at  Walnut  Creek,  and  then  at  15,  I  started  leading  a  team  of  very  young  musicians.  Worship  leading  was  put  on  me  suddenly,  and  though  it  was  a  struggle,  I've  grown  to  be  a  bemer  musician  and  worshipper  because  of  it.  As  a  leader,  I  enjoy  being  able  to  express  my  love  for  God  and  help  others  do  the  same  through  the  very  humbling  act  of  singing  and  playing  instruments.  Music  is  what  I  know  best,  and  it  is  the  purest  form  of  worship  that  I  can  personally  give  to  God.

What  church  ministries  have  you  become  involved  in?Originally   I   intended   to   focus  only   on   the  worship  ministry,   but   over   Zme,   I   also   became   interested   in   the  younger  people.     I’m  acZve   in   the  College/Young   Adult  group,  and  I  have  been   amending   the  Fountain  youth  group  and  help  lead  worship  there.

What  are  some  things  about  you  that  might  surprise  people?-‐   I’m  capable  of  being  a  complete  tomboy!     I  played  running  back  and  corner  back  on  my  high  school  JV  boys’  football  team,  and  I  have  my  motorcycle  license  and  used  to  ride  a  Ninja  500ex.

-‐  I  may  look  100%  white...  but  I'm  half  white  and  half  Japanese  and  can  speak  and  understand  Japanese!

-‐  If  I  ever  switched  careers,  I’d  want  to  be  in  the  veterinary  field.  I  LOVE  animals  and  have  2  siberian  huskies  that  I  love  to  death.

Before  we  closed,  Tina  wanted  to  express  the  following:    I  want  to  thank  everyone  at  WCCC  for  your  friendliness  and  hospitality  to  me.    Though  I  am  somewhat  shy  by  nature,  I   have  never   felt  so  cared  for   and   loved  by   complete  strangers.   You   truly   shine   as   followers  of   Jesus  Christ,  and  it  is  a  privilege  to  serve  with  you  and  for  you.

Sierra  Madre  School  Japanese  Garden  (1931-‐2011):80  Years  of  Goodwill

Mits  Kunihiro  was  invited  to  address  a  public  gathering   on  Saturday,  March  19,  2011,  celebraZng  the  restoraZon  of   the  Sierra  Madre  School  Japanese  Garden.    He   spoke  along   with   landscape  architect,  Lew  Watanabe,   and   teacher,  Helen  Pontarelli,   who   played   key   roles   in   the   garden’s   restoraZon,   and  also   school  parents   and   students  who   shared   their  experiences  in  restoring  and  tending  the  garden.

The  Garden  was  created  in  1931  by  grateful  parents  of  Japanese-‐American  students.    It  was    destroyed  during  World  War  II  aher  its  Japanese-‐American  caretakers  were  taken  away  to  internment  camps.    It  lay  buried  for  50  years  unZl  in  1995,  it  was  rediscovered  and  restored  by  the  efforts  of   the  sixth  grade  class  of  1995,  and  Lew  Watanabe,  a  landscape  architect  who  volunteered  for  years  to  restore  the  garden.

An  inscripZon  on  its  plaque  reads:  “In  hopes  of  healing  the  wounds  of  war.    Peace on Earth. Goodwill to All.”

It  was  said  that  the  Japanese  Garden  at  Sierra  Madre  School  is  a  great  source  of  pride  for  Sierra  Madre  School  students,  staff,  parents,  and  the  community.    The  ceremony  was  a  tribute  to  those  who  created  the  garden  out  of  graZtude  for  their  children,  to  all  who  thought  it  important  that  the  garden  be  restored,  and  certainly  to  those  veterans  who  so  ably  served  our  country,  defending  all  for  which  Sierra  Madre  School  stands.    Among  those  veterans  was  Mitsuo  Kunihiro  who  earned  the   Bronze   Star,   Combat   Infantryman’s   Badge,   American   Defense   Service   Medal,   European-‐African-‐Middle   Eastern  Campaign  and  other  medals  fighZng  with  the  442nd  Regimental  Combat  Team  in  WW  II.

A  friendly  criecism  of  this  arecle  by  a  reader:    The  story  of  this  garden  is  a  message  of  pride  from  the  community  to  the  teacher  and   students  who   take   this   garden   very  seriously.   It   has   become   part   of   the   curriculum   promo2ng   diversity   for   all,   not   just   for  Japanese   Americans.  I  am  glad  that  dad  responded  posi$vely  to  speak  about  how  important  it  was  to  their  parents'  to  give  back  to  a  community  that  accepted  them,  but  also  to  those  who  opposed  their  presence.  Kindness  and  love  always  win  in  the  end.  It  was  a  very  difficult  $me  in  history  to  be  Japanese,  just  like  it  is  to  be  Middle  Eastern  now  in  the  States.    Through  this  experience,  my  youngest  son  has  a  be\er  awareness  of  what  his  great  grandparents  were  like  and  how  they  contributed  greatly   to   the   economics  of  California   through   their   farming,  fishing  and   small   businesses.  They  took  a  piece  of   land   that  no  one  wanted  and  turned  into  prize  farmland.  Such  an  industrious  people.    Comment  by  Linda  Kunihiro

“Experiencing  God”  and  the  Tes;mony  of  Dr.  Ben  HaraBy  Emi  Iwanaga

The  small  groups  of  WCCC  have  been  using   the  study  guide,  "Experiencing  God”  by  Henry  Blackaby.    How  appropriate  and  what  a  privilege  to  sit  with  Dr.  Ben  Hara,  a  man  who  has  been  experiencing  God  for  over  50  years.    His  life  is  tesZmony  that  “God  conZnually  pursues  a  love  relaZonship  with  you  which  is  both  real  and  personal."

Dr.   Ben  accepted  Christ  while   sZll   in   school.     During   those  early   days,   he  was  mentored   by   the   late   Rev.  Howard  Toriumi.    Later  he  was  influenced  by  Dr.  Mas  Toyotome  as  he  served  in  evangelism  alongside  him  and  co-‐authored,  "Am  I  Really  My  Asian  Brothers'  Keeper?"      He  states  that  his  "marching  order  from  day  one"  was  2Tim  2:15:  "Make  every   effort   to   give  yourself   to   God  as  the  kind   of  person  He  will  accept.    Be  a  worker  who   is   not   ashamed   and   who   uses   the   true   teaching   in   the   right   way."     He  began  teaching   Sunday   school  within  months  of  his  conversion  and  shortly  thereaher  began  preaching.

Dr.  Ben’s  early  messages  were  on  stewardship.    And  over  the  years  he  has  shown  himself  to  be  sensiZve  to  the   Lord's   working,   giving   his   own   personal   financial   support   as   well   as   chairing   the   WCCC   Memorial  Endowment   Fund.      He  is  an  example  of   someone  who  experienced  God   as  God   “invited  him   to   become  involved  with  Him  in  His  work.”

The  study  guide  asks  each  of  us  to  note  the  “Spiritual  Markers”  in  our  lives  that  stand  out  as  our  memorable  experiences  with  God.    Dr.  Ben  shares  his  spiritual  markers  below.    They  speak  of  the  truth  that  one  cannot  limit  God  in  his  pursuit  of  a  love  relaZonship  with  us.

"One  evening,  Pastor  Toriumi   visited  me.    Shortly   aHer   learning  that   I  was  a  defacto   orphan,  he  asked,  “How  would  you  like  to  be  a  member  of  God’s  family?”    “Is  that  possible?”  I  asked  incredulously.    “What  must  I   do?”    “Turn   to   Jesus   Christ   in   repentance,”  he  counseled.     I   duRfully   followed   the  steps   to   salvaRon   and   received  Jesus  Christ  as  Savior  and  Lord.    I  became  a  new  member  of  God’s  family  that  evening.

The  following  morning,  I  quietly   and   spontaneously   uUered  my   first  prayer   of  thanksgiving   to  Jesus  Christ.    I  was  surprised!    While  walking  to  school   that  morning,  I  sensed  someone  was  keeping  me  company.    I  turned  to  look.    No  one  was  yet  on  the  street.    Suddenly,  I  realized  that  it  was  Jesus,  my   Savior,  accompanying  me!    It  was  His  assurance  that  I  was  no  longer  alone.    I  now  had  a  family.    I  rejoiced  over  His  revelaRon.

In  the  Spring  of  1952,  I  woke  up  from  a  short  nap  sensing  that  someone  had  just  entered  my   room.    Just  inside  the  door,  I  saw   a  vision  of  the  Lord   Jesus.    I  was  honored  to  see  Him  and   si\ng  up,  I  waited  for  Him  to  speak.    No  words….just  the  unmistaken  look  of  love  and  affecRon.

These  have  been  evidences  of  the  reality  of  God’s  presence  in  my   life.    I’m  amazed  and   thankful  that  in  the  six  decades   since,  our   reliable  God   has   answered   prayers,  opened   doors  of   opportunity   to   service   everywhere   I  chanced  to  be.    To  God  be  the  glory!"

Note:    Currently,  as  Dr.  Ben  conZnues  to  move  from  challenge  to  challenge,  from  call  to  call,  he  teams  up  with      Larry  Yonemura  to  teach  the  book  of  Romans,  Sundays,  9:15-‐10:15  a.m.      You  are  invited  to  amend  and  study  this  book  which  contains  foundaZonal  truths  of  our  faith.

Emi  Iwanaga

Last  year's  retreat  was  blessed  geung   to  know  and  receive  from  Glenda  Homon.    This  year,  Glenda  sends  her  friend  to  us  and  we  are  honored  to  have  as  a  guest  speaker,  Dr.  Lisa  Tatlock.

Lisa  Tatlock’s  biography  hints  as  to  what  she  will  bring  to  us  and  fuels  our  anZcipaZon  of  another  memorable  ladies'   getaway.         She  and   her   husband  were  married   in   1991.    They  have  five  children,  Jacob  (12/99),  Josiah  (10/01),  Hope  (7/03,  adopted  from  China),  Paul  (10/03,  adopted  from  Uganda),  and  Olivia  (4/06,  adopted  from  Uganda).

Dr.  Tatlock  received  a  BS  in  Home  Economics-‐Counseling  from  Heritage  College,  an  MS  in   Home   Economics   from   the   University   of   Nevada-‐Reno,   and   her   doctorate   in   Higher   EducaZon   from   Nova  Southeastern  University  in  Florida.

She  taught  Home  Economics  for  twenty  years  at  the  Master's  College.    She  reZred  from  teaching  in  2008  to  focus  on   supporZng   her   husband's   role   as   ExecuZve  Vice-‐President  of   the  Master's  College.     In   addiZon   to   being   a  support  to  her  husband,  she  is  home  schooling  her  children.    (We  are  so  glad  she  can  break  away  to  be  with  us!)

She  has  co-‐authored  books,  Becoming   A  Woman   Who   Pleases  God,  Designing   a   Lifestyle   that   Pleases   God,   and  PracRcing  Hospitality:    The   Joy  of  Serving  Others.    She  also  writes  magazine  arZcles  and  is  an  experienced  speaker  with  over  15  topics,  including  "Developing  a  Heart  of   Contentment,”  "For  Such  a  Time  as  This,”  “Faith–Lessons  for  Women  from  Esther,”  and  "The  AromaZc  Fragrance  of  Christ–Encouragement  by  'Remembering.'"    She  has  offered  to  prepare  messages  to   suit  our   needs.     Please   begin   praying   now  about   what   to  ask   her   to   share  with   us   in  October.

Ladies,  won't  you  plan  to  amend  and  to  be  inspired  by  Dr.  Tatlock!    Mark  your  calendars  and  be  prepared  for  the  upcoming  registraZon.

WCCC Beach Camp! A   site  has  been  reserved  at  Leo  Carillo  State  Beach  for  Sunday,  June  26  through  Tuesday,   June  28.  Plan  to  stay  overnight  and  enjoy  the  campfire  fellowship,  or  just  come  for  the  day,  eat  lots  and  have  a  swimming  good  Zme!  The  beach  is  easy  to  get  to  and  always  wonderful  fun  for  all  ages.  But  it’s  at  the  beginning  of  summer  this  year,  so  ask   your   friends,   neighbors  and   relaZves   now   if   they’d   like   to   join   us.   PLEASE   let   Janet   Okamuro   (the   chief  planner)   or  Audrey   Sakamoto  or  Andrew   Todd   in   the   church   office  know  whether   you  can   go   or   not  go   this  summer,  They  need  to  know  early.  Thanks!

A  Tribute  to  Tim  KuboYou may have noticed that the “Messenger” looks very different this time. It’s because we have a new young person designing its layout and general appearance. We have a lot to look forward to! But now, we pay tribute to Tim Kubo, who has been the Messenger’s graphic artist for the past 14 years! A graphic artist by training and profession, Tim has contributed a marvelous aesthetic sensibility to the Messenger’s look, that never stopped evolving. There have been many “high points” among his artistic contributions but the last issue, of March 2011, was certainly among his finest. A graphic that he designed for March is shown here.

A loving husband and father, graphic artist with increasingly heavy work demands, key member of our Christian Education program, and always-enthusiastic contributor to other church duties, our youth could not have a better role model than Timothy Kubo. Thank you Tim, for your faithful and dedicated service for our Lord.

RomansDr.  Ben  Hara  and  Larry  Yonemura

The  Book  of  Romans  provides  the  most  profound  discussion  about  the  most  important  subject  in  all  of  Scripture:  God’s  plan  and  purpose  for  saving  sinners.    Romans  probes  into  the  deeper  meaning  of  such  terms  as  the  nature  of  sin,  human  depravity,  God’s  moral  order,  God’s  wrath,  the  righteousness  of  God,  law  vs.  grace  and  the  past,  present  and  future  of   Israel  in  world  history.    Against  this  backdrop  is  interwoven  the  Gospel,  the  Good  News  of  Jesus  Christ!

Begun  on  March  6,  there  will  be  18  lessons,  with  each  lesson  covering  (1)  Key  verses,  (2)   InterpretaZon  and  (3)  ApplicaZon.    The  class  is  from  9:10  to  10:10  in  room  15.

Teachers:  Dr.  Ben  Hara  and  Larry  Yonemura

You  can  know  a  lot  about  the  Bible;  you  might  know  very  limle.Either  way,  you’ll  feel  at  home  in  this  class!
