Technology ...Moving Us Forward

Recruiting is vital to the sustainability of your Branch. our company recommends maintaining 25 ‘paid in school’ recruits (in addition to new previously licensed agents) within a rolling two-week period. Be sure to maintain metrics of the number of resumes you receive, the number of recruits who confirm an interview, and the number of those who show for an interview.

in line with the theme of this issue of Torch, Branch Managers now have a valuable technological tool to aid in their recruitment efforts. Dynamicic.com automated dialing is designed to enhance your Branch recruiting and maximize the Recruiting and Development Bonus each month. Dynamicic.com will help you greatly increase the number of resumes you contact while reducing the manpower required to conduct recruiting calls. Branch Managers may use the money in their lead accounts to pay for this service. For more information, please visit Dynamicic.com or contact liberty National’s account representative, ed tamayo, at [email protected] or 877-842-6214.

Remember, not only does active and successful recruiting benefit your Branch in the long run, it yields positive results for you in the form of your recruiting bonus.

Make it a priority to boost your recruiting efforts; you will thank yourself later. More recruits mean more sales, more success for you, and more success for the company. see the article on pages 11-12 in this issue that highlights what Branch Managers and Directors have to say about the importance of recruiting.

You have always had a company with quality products and a solid financial record backing you. Now that same company is growing with the technological world to address our customers’ needs and to help our agents succeed. i am very excited to see where the next level of technology takes us – and to see our agents and customers benefit along every step of the way.

More businesses are choosing to do online payments, but there are many insurance companies that do not accommodate that preference. Making a payment by regular mail is a slow process. it uses a lot of paper, there’s postage costs, and it’s simply outdated.

there is a need for faster processes in the insurance industry overall. a late payment can affect a person’s coverage in a drastic way - possible cancellation. as efficient and techno-savvy as our society is, you’d think there would be more innovation in online capabilities with all insurance companies. well, we can’t speak for all insurers, but technology that helps our customers is at the top of the list with liberty National.

liberty National’s worksite online Billing system is a great tool for worksite customers and for increasing sales. with the worksite online Billing system, customers can pay their invoices online. this system is provided at no cost to worksite customers and is designed to make the invoice process faster, easier, and more efficient. payments are submitted instantly on a secure online server. there is no waiting or worrying about checks getting lost in the mail. it’s instant and easy.

in addition, worksite customers can also take advantage of the worksite online Billing system’s other perks, such as:

• Managing their company information

• Reconciling their invoices

• Reviewing past invoices

• adding other employees to the system

• Managing multiple companies at once

perhaps even greater than customers’ preference to make online payments is their use of online research in general. the internet has become a go-to resource for people searching for everything from good restaurants to affordable life insurance. the internet might be the first place someone looks to conduct research when he or she hears about a new company or product, which is why the new libertyNational.com website is available to our potential and existing customers. libertyNational.com is a convenient resource for customers to learn more about our company, our products, to find a local agent, or to log into our new worksite online Billing system.

15 percent of payments are made online*. that’s right, 85 percent of payments are still made

by mailing in a check.

the fifth Branch Manager training program was held at the Home office March 16 - March 18. this training stressed the importance of ‘Metrics for success’, which involves tracking and increasing recruiting, activity management, and production. other topics included needs-based selling, the laptop sales presentation, and Dynamicic.com and constant contact to assist recruiting efforts.

Guest speakers included Branch Managers, vicki Ketron, Mark woodruff, sherri Young, and Michele sellors. we greatly appreciate not only their success and leadership, but also their time and advice!

liberty National believes in the importance of continuing training as agents advance within our company. as one of the many training tools and opportunities we provide, the Branch Manager training program exemplifies our efforts to help our people succeed.

it was an enthusiastic group of attendees, and everyone returned to their Branches pumped about the possibilities for success that lay ahead.

“I felt the training was very helpful due to the encouraging group atmosphere and the opportunity to share more questions and answers. I feel the Branch Manager training is CRUCIAL to a new Branch Manager. It is so hard to learn everything as you go without good direction. The Branch Manager training gives you that direction.”
