Dairy Market Manager Profile – Nicky HoggWith a lifetime of experience in customer service, Nicky Hogg has stepped into the newly created role of Market Manager Dairy aimed specifically at making the lives of ATS’s dairy clients that bit easier.

As the new season approaches, Nicky has been working frantically to secure the best possible deals and products from suppliers to ensure the needs of dairy farmers are met, specifically with regards to dairy shed chemicals, calf feeds, milk powder and other key dairy products. She is also involved in investigating new products, planning, and training.

Nicky joined ATS as part of its dedicated customer service team in the Call Centre (now Customer Service Centre) when it was set up 14 years ago to help farmers via telephone. Despite being a self-confessed townie, having originally grown up in Dunedin, it didn’t take long for her to grow into the role. As her interest developed, Nicky relished in expanding her knowledge, initially specialising in dairy chemicals and calf-rearing, and eventually moved up to the role as team leader.

During her time with ATS she was integral in the co-operative’s move into the dairy market including getting dairy shed chemicals delivered on-farm, which in turn led to the establishment of ATS’s freight delivery service.

She started as Market Manager Dairy last October, which continues to bring her into contact with ATS’s entire retail enterprise, right from the back shop through to the sales representatives, management and beyond.

Nicky brings with her a natural affinity for the rural industry combined with a wealth of understanding of the dairy industry built up over years of experience, and exceptional communication and listening skills honed through her time managing the Customer Service Team working with members, suppliers and other industry personnel.

She has made it her mission to offer excellent customer service, delivering on specification, on time, every time, placing the emphasis on putting farmer’s needs first. Nicky enjoys helping members, assisting them in all facets of their business and thrives on finding the best possible option for any particular need or situation.

Working at ATS has afforded Nicky the unique opportunity to meet and work with many wonderful people, members, and suppliers in a professional environment while retaining the core values of a family orientated co-operative which has been armed with lowering costs to farmers throughout the region for the past 50 years.
