Reiki Home is a growingglobal network of individualsand Reiki communitiesinspired by the daily practiceof Reiki. Reiki Home holds theunderstanding ofRegenerative Living andembraces the diversity andoneness of humankind,nurturing the inter-connectionof all living things which flowwithin the Natural Order ofLife. It is a place that welcomesall practices of Reiki, fulfillingour need to bring ustogether, to love one anotherand to respect and honoreach other. Reiki Home supports thedevelopment of globalcommunity, facilitatesconnection between its'members, offers access toteachers through webinars and virtual Reiki circles,shares experiences of Reikiin Action and provides theopportunity for physicalinteraction with one another.

2019 - 2020 Board of Directors

The Reiki Home Board of Directors expresses deep sadnessin learning of the death of Phyllis Lei Furumoto, LineageBearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho on Sunday, March 31. We join the global Reiki community in shared grief andcelebration of her life and legacy. Over the decades, sheworked tirelessly to further the Usui Shiki Ryoho System ofReiki. Her loyalty to Reiki knew no limits. Phyllis had an authentic relationship with Reiki Home;supporting and criticizing its growth in her desire for ReikiHome to manifest. She shared her insight, wisdom and ideas;she asked difficult questions. One of her greatest gifts was her willingness to engage inconversation and stay in relationship. She longed forreconciliation even when division was present. Shecontinuously worked to enhance unity in the global Reikicommunity. In February, at her last meeting with the Board, she asked,"What is happening in Reiki Home? Where do you want togo?" Her parting words at that meeting were: "Conversation is the seed; it always grows the fruit it wasintended to. It is our work to accompany that growth. It is noteasy; we want to please other people. I'm really happy to bepart of this work. Thank you." Phyllis was a Master, Teacher, Mentor and Friend. As wegrieve her passing, we celebrate her legacy. We are gratefulfor the years we worked together, the shared dream of ReikiHome and the memories we created together. As we sit in circle continuing the conversation, we invite theglobal community to join us as we honor her with our servicethrough Reiki Home.

What is reiki? What are Reiki Systems?

This morning, March 31, 2019 at 0710 Phyllis Lei Furumotopassed from this life. Her transition started a few days ago asshe became unresponsive to this physical world. From thisearly morning, I held her in my arms until the end, as shewished. We were surrounded by family, dear friends and herstudents.

As I watched her body being taken away from our home, Ientered into an unknown space, one that we all share. I ask,How do I go on without her? And I feel deep within that shehas given me, given us all, gifts for us to carry on. Her legacyis in our hands, in our hearts.

These past weeks have been an event, as you may imaginewith Phyllis, full of love, Reiki, people, tears, laughs, hugs,fears, transitions, challenges, music, good food and moregood food. Our home has overflowed with your gifts, flowers,cards, calls and most of all your true selves. I have beensailing on an ocean of love, wave after wave, surfing to placesunknown. I pray that I may show my gratitude, in some way,to the global Reiki community.

By: Frank Coppieters The mysterious force of the universal life energyis running through you now. Reiki is flowing all over the earth, throughout natureand in every single atom in the universe. Reiki is potently present when one forms changes intoanother form. Leaves of trees turning their colorsand finally dropping on the ground in Fall. New buds opening to Spring. So much tenderness in the passage from the human forminto formlessness. There is a line in the Heart Sutra which says:Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. When a great teacher or master makes their transitiona field of liberation becomes availablefor everyone connected with them. There is obviously a deep mourning of the loss of the form ofthe person that can no longer be touched or cherished,physically. There is also a deep gratitude for the value of the teachingsthat have been planted and will continue to blossom. Phyllis Furumoto, till the very end, shared so many giftswith the world community of Reiki. These gifts are now living in your heart.They inform your practice. They demonstrate the delicate dance between form and essencefor all living beings.
