We Need Donations & Your Help

On Sat, April 19, we will host our 3rd

Annual Easter Eggstravaganza. We’ll have an Easter egg hunt and picnic at Herrlinger Park, 302 Union St. Now we need YOUR help!

Donations: We need tons of individually wrapped candy and colorful plastic easter eggs which we will fill with the candy. Please drop your bags of pre-wrapped candy & plastic eggs off at the church office or First Place. Helpers: We also need people to help us pass out flyers around the neighborhood on Apr 15. Meet in the parking lot at 6pm. Event Servants: Please use the attached sign up sheet in today’s bulletin or sign up in the Gathering room and at First Place to help with the event. Many hands are needed.

From Your Trustees… The Trustees have set 2014 as the goal to complete the Stained Glass Windows. For over a year now, we have collected funds for the next to the last phase–the Dome. We currently have the funds to complete the restoration. However, we still need around $25,000 to paint the inside of the dome while the windows are restored. We are so close! We are offering a challenge to those who want to help us “finish strong.” If 148 people would contribute $125.00 each over the next 3-4 months, we can complete this phase! We ask you to please prayerfully consider what you can contribute to finish this phase of the Stained Glass Project.

Thank you for your faithfulness, Troy First Trustees

Easter Sunday Sunday School classes will not be held on Easter Sunday, Apr. 20. Classes will resume on Sun, Apr 27.

Choral Anthem: “Ah, Holy Jesus” Words: Johanna Heerman (1585-1647) Tune: Howard Helvey Tr. Robert Seymour Bridges (1844-1930)

Ah, holy Jesus, how hast thou offended, That man to judge thee hath in hate pretended? By foes derided, by thine own rejected, O most afflicted.

Who was the guilty? Who brought this upon thee? Alas, my treason, Jesus, hath undone thee. ‘Twas I, Lord Jesus, I it was denied Thee:

I crucified Thee. For me, kind Jesus, was thy incarnation,

Thy mortal sorrow, and thy life’s oblation; Thy death of anguish and thy bitter passion, For my salvation.

Therefore, kind Jesus, since I cannot pay thee, I do adore thee and will ever pray thee, Think on thy pity and thy love unswerving, Not my deserving. Amen.

The Altar flowers are presented to the Glory of God by Bud and Ann Runner with thanks to God for all their blessings.
