High Priestess Hello Ladies! We are in the heart of spring. Therefore, we are springing into

action. First, let me thank everyone for your warm wishes, congratulations and support after the elec-tions last month. So sorry I missed the actual elec-tions because of breaking my wrist the hour prior to our meeting, however, Lady Bobbie Balthazor, PHP quickly accepted the nomination on my behalf. Thank you Lady Bobbie!

Our first fundraiser will be Saturday, September 8th from noon until 4 P.M. Sphinx Court will be having an old fashioned Carnival with lots of games, fun food, cake walk, surprises, prizes, and giggles. Come one come all. This will take you back to the good ol’ days! Fun for the entire family!!

The Grand High Priestess Official Visit will be Thursday, September 13th. I know everyone will want to attend and meet our Grand High Priestess Lady Carol Sue Roberts. You will really be im-pressed.

The installation was so lovely and meaningful. All the Officers and Aides looked wonderful. Everyone did a superb job that night. The food was 5 stars in my book. Thank you goes out to Lady Jean Glover, PHP and the Director Staff for preparing and working the food table. The tables adorned with very special Egyptian Center Pieces were lovingly designed and handcrafted by Lady Lou Ann Speas. Lady Patricia Bandhauer, PHP and Lady Bobbie Balthazor, PHP worked many hours and days as co-Instructresses making the installation very successful. entation of Colors and moving of the heavy chairs during the evening deserve a hearty thank you. Lady Barbara Hineman, PHP presented the Lord's Prayer in Indian Sign language and was spectacular as al-ways. There are several more Ladies that will be thanked at our next Court Meeting. The vocal duet by Chief Rabban Noble Ed Stolze and his daughter Lindsey brought tears to my eyes with make up run-ning down my cheeks. The next vocal duet by Noble Randy Peters with his granddaughter Lexi Hardiman had my throat choked up. Yes, I was a mess! Just when I thought I had myself together, Lady Jackie Miller gave us all a special moment. Lady Jackie closed the Installation by signing "God Bless the U.S.A.". Everyone in attendance was singing the words to the song. As I looked around the Auditorium there were tears on the faces of both men and women. We all shared the feeling of how lucky we are as a Nation, as a Family, as a Friend, as a Per-son, and as a member of The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America! Thank you all.

Princess Thank you for your generous donations this past year. The station of Associate Prin-cess is a very rewarding station and I really

enjoyed serving as Associate Princess. Now I’m moving up closer to the ultimate goal to serve in a different capacity. I’ve started to look for airfare for the trip to Hawaii, in September for WAOUM.

My sincere thanks to my two aides for all your help and I hope you will continue to travel with me.

Sphinx Patrol Greetings from the Sphinx Patrol. We are thrilled to

report that our joint officer installation with the Clown Unit on April 17, 2012, was a rousing success. Our High Priestess, Lady Lynn Hatch, presided over both installations and we all enjoyed an after the installa-tion repast. I can’t imagine why we haven’t tried joint installations before -- it was really very cool!

Newly elected officers for the Patrol are: Lady Linda DuBois, PHP, Captain; Lady Renate Sweat, Lieutenant; Lady Vicki Sutphin, Secretary; and Lady Bobbie Balthazor, PHP, Treasurer.

We are hoping that many of you who have never visited the Patrol Unit will come by and see how much fun we have. We’d love to get our unit large enough to do some really cool marching. Our regular meeting is the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7 pm - preceded by dinner in the Red Fez Room around 5:30 pm. Please do come and join one of our meetings and become a member of our happy group!

In the meantime, stay well, stay safe, stay happy, and keep working for the KIDS!
