HewaselectedasthePresidentoftheAsiaPacificSocietyofOphthalmicPlasticandReconstructiveSurgeryandtheHonourarySecretaryoftheCollegeofOphthalmologistsofSingaporein2010.Hehaspublishedmorethan40peerreviewarticlesandhaswritten2Oculoplasticbookchapters.Hereceivedthe2008AmericanAcademyofOphthalmologyAchievementAwardinrecognitionofhisdedicationtoophthalmiceducation.HewasappointedastheOculoplasticsSectionEditoroftheAsiaPacificJournalofOphthalmologyin2011.
