Till the end of the year 2010 we helped to solute the crisis life situation for 486 persons, 206 women and 280 children
This year it is more then 40 persons

Awards 2008 - to mark the 10th anniversary
organization won the Prize of Anton Neuwirth for the protection of life, which was awarded for his long professional work in favor of women in distress and their children
In the same year the organization received another award from the Slovak Humanitarian Council - Prize Gift of the year for 2008

How did our idea of social enterprise start up ?
Between 2005 - 2007 we realized a project supported by the ESF EQUAL, when we first met with new forms of financing of NGOs through the implementation of the social economy elements

In 2007 the organization became a member of an international network of social and educational institutions ENISE

The statutory representative graduated in the 240 hours specialized training "manager of social entrepreneurship”. It was in 2008 under the referee of the University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica

2009 - 2010 the project "Social and community services for families at risk and the professionalisation of NGOs" supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism, from Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the state budget

How did our idea of social enterprise start up ?
Within the project we visited a social firm in the Czech Republic - "Junuv Farm" and "Garde
We have also created cross-sectoral partnerships which include businesses and firms

We are one of four organizations from Slovakia, whom the International Organization NESsT provides educational seminars on social entrepreneurship.

Why does our organization initiate social entrepreneurship?
Implementation of self-financing activities, we want to combine two objectives:• employ people at risk of social exclusion and disadvantage persons in the current labor market• to have a business for strengthening the independence and sustainability of the organization

Social objective / primary motivation
is to provide work in legal relations employment for disadvantaged persons in the labor market and specifically to our target group, which are single women / mothers in need.

The financial objective / secondary motivation
is to create a profit organizations to ensure the organization in the case of absence of other sources of funding, since each current source of funding is threatened.

Making a profit is dependent on several aspects:
whether legislative changes will promote the creation of social firms
whether there will be the financial support of social employment resulting from the legislation
what will be Europe-wide trends towards public participation in solving and creating new elements in addressing the problems of people at risk of social exclusion
whether there will develop a peer networks of all sectors - public, private and nonprofit

What is the purpose of our social entrepreneurship?
Social enterprise will offer maintenance and cleaning of the exteriors and interiors of houses, flats, business premises and public spaces.

We have conducted a preliminary survey through interviews
We also had a chance to obtain new ideas from out potential customers, familiarise ourselves with their opinions and introduce our new services to the public

62.5% of respondents thought the services could be successful on the market
On the other hand, 22.5% of respondents, said the services will not be successful

The most frequent answer to the question „What properties of the offered service would you most appreciate?“, was „quality“ - 87,5% respondents and „price“ - 65% respondents.
Among the less frequent answers were „speed“ - 25% respondents, „trustworthiness“ - 7% respondents, and„accountability“ -5% respondents.

95% of respondents now provide these services for themselves. Only 5% of respondents claimed that they pay for some of the services

30% of respondents stated that they don’t need the services, and would not pay for them. The main reasons for not paying were mostly „insufficient finances“ (33.3% respondents) and „enough people in the household to carry out the service“ (66.7% respondents).

Entrepreneurial activity appears to us as a means of fulfilling the mission, vision of the organization
If a profit iscreating , it will be after-tax reinvested back into the core business - providing social services
solidarity, transparency and subsidiarity will be maintained

This will be the company environmentally and socially responsible
