This course will focus on enhancing clinician skills and knowledge in the treatment of young children (0 – 3 years) with developmental delay in the aquatic therapy environment. It will be of great benefit to clinicians working within a wide range of paediatric settings, including: early intervention, rehabilitation, private practice, community health and acute health services.
It is suitable for:
• Experienced clinicians with limited aquatic therapy exposure
• Experienced aquatic physiotherapists with limited exposure to young paediatric populations
• Clinicians new or returning to paediatrics
• Clinicians wanting to update their skills and knowledge
• New graduates
The course content will guide you through the current theory surrounding infant developmental delay and neuroplasticity, the evidence supporting aquatic therapy for children with developmental delay, as well as how to use aquatic therapy as a safe and effective treatment tool. There will be both theoretical and practical pool based components, run by presenters who are experts in their field.
Places are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.
