In the first part of your assignment try to address the following: Evaluate the current situation of The ARAB FINANCIAL MARKETS AND FINANCIAL

INSTITUTIONS. Then comment on whether the financial markets and institutions in major Arab countries

are suited best to serve different stakeholders in financial markets.

State clearly whether the major issue of asymmetric information is well address. Be able to identify their strengths and weaknesses based on the ability of serving different

stakeholders.

Then move to address the following: Evaluate the impact of Arab rising on The ARAB FINANCIAL MARKETS AND

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS.

In this regard, make sure to mention any needed rules/regulation that should beaddressed as a result of weak governance

Also make sure to cover all possible benefits that might appear as a result of suchuprisings.

Then try to see if there is any impact of such uprisings on internationalfinancial and stock markets as well as international financialinstitutions.

Basis of Assessment

Standard of report writing & style 10% The marker should be looking for a well-structured, concise report, which is accompanied byrelevant tables and/or figures to aid the students explanation or argument. A good standard of English is essential. Correct APA referencing is required.

Note that the word limit does not include references or contents page, or numerical calculations.Do not penalise on that but students are expected to keep to the word limit.

Reading, research and application in context 30%

Students have a tendency to just quote or refer to theories and concepts without making thelinkages to the case. They must demonstrate their ability to apply theory to the case and toexplain its relevance.

Use of applied example (in context) 15 % The students should consider all previous cases to demonstrate his/her point of view and tosupport his/her argument including an appreciation of relevant theory.
