Since August 2014 it now hosts internally displaced persons (IDPs). The main areas of origin of the residents are Balad and Sinjar districts in Salah Al Din and Ninewa Governorates respectively. Primary data was collected through household surveys from 16 - 18/11/2014. Additional information from camp managers, marked (*) is correct as of 14/12/2014. Summary Reported Priority Needs Priority needs reported by the camp population were: 1 Food 96% 2 Shelter improvement 96% 3 Urgent medical assistance 20% % of respondents who chose this need from a choice of five as one of their top three priority needs. Other camp committees in place CCCM Mechanisms Key Developments The number of occupied tents in Arbat IDP camp has reduced since the last camp profile assessment (October 2014) from 998 to 710 in November. However in the second week of January five hundred new families arrived.* 91% said they had received NFIs since the start of the crisis. This included clothing (received by 33%), hygiene kits (25%) and footware (3%). 85% had received food assistance in the past month. 25% had received a food package composed of less than a standard Family Food Parcel (staple carbohydrates, dry pulses, oil, sugar and iodized salt). 24% said there was not a safe space for children to play. 24% of households had a member who was missing civil documents. 39% of households included a pregnant or lactating woman. 14% had a member with a mental or physical disability and 12% had a member with a serious medical condition.
