► Drivers for language development Since ArchiMate was released:

A number of inconsistencies have been resolved

Some concepts have been clarified (e.g., Business Function)

► Outlook ArchiMate development continues to be

focused on the interplay between practical relevance and academic rigor

The core is stable even though some discussions are still “open” (e.g., infrastructure function concept)

OpenGroup standardization brings (the core of) ArchiMate close to TOGAF

Extensions, also for other frameworks and methodologies, continue to be developed (e.g., Policies, Rules and Regulations)

ArchiMate toolsupport is growing, open source options are available
