archiSTART is a non-profit organization that proposes architecture competitions and workshop to students and new graduates. archiSTART mission is to provide means of growth and visibility to young aspiring architects, giving the opportunity to put into practice all the knowledge gathered at the university and to create a link between the academic environment and the work world.
archiSTART è un’associazione no profit che mira a proporre concorsi di architettura e workshop accessibili a studenti universitari e neolaureati. L’idea di base della proposta è quella di fornire uno strumento di crescita e visibilità ai giovani progettisti tramutando conoscenze ottenute in ambito universitario in una esperienza che avvicini l’università alla pratica lavorativa.

The contest promotes the design of an object made of pietra leccese, that can be produced, displayed to the public and then sold directly to the consumer. The theme, decided in collaboration with Décor SRL, is totally free in order to stimulate as much as possible designers’ creativity. Decor srl has created two prototypes of the two designs winners of designSTART contest 2016. The prototypes will be exhibited at fuorisalone2016, at Cascina Cuccagna, for Failures, a project promoted by Raumplan & ACCC during the design week 2016 in Milan.
Il concorso promuove la progettazione di un oggetto di design in pietra leccese che potrà essere realizzato e poi esposto e venduto immediatamente al consumatore.Il tema, deciso in collaborazione con l’azienda realizzatrice Decor, è totalmente libero in modo da stimolare il più possibile la creatività dei progettisti. L’azienda ha realizzato i 2 progetti vincitori che saranno esposti al fuorisalone2016 nella rassegna Failures, promossa da Raumplan & ACCC presso la Cascina Cuccagna durante il design week di Milano.

The competition 2.0 WATT promotes the re-use of the abandoned Zerowatt factory and its transformation, following citizens demands obtained from a first phase of participative planning.The competition aims at defining a vision for a future structure and reuse of the area.
Il concorso di idee 2.0 WATT ha per oggetto la definizione di proposte progettuali sul riuso degli spazi dismessi della fabbrica Zerowatt e sulla sua trasformazione, in linea con le richieste ottenute da una prima fase di progettazione partecipata con i cittadini. Il concorso mira a definire una visione per un futuro assetto e riutilizzo dell’area.

”Carpineto Mountain Refuge” competition aims at promoting the territory and the landscape of Lepine Mountains through a series of temporary receptive points nearby the main mountain paths hiked over by tourists, that go from the valley to the tops of the surrounding Carpineto mountains, rethinking the old mountain huts in a contemporary way.
Il concorso Carpineto Mountain Refuge si pone come obiettivo quello di valorizzare il territorio ed il paesaggio dei Monti Lepini attraverso una serie di moduli ricettivi temporanei posti in prossimità dei sentieri montani più percorsi dai turisti che da valle conducono alle cime dei monti che circondano Carpineto, ripensando in chiave contemporanea i vecchi rifugi montani.

The Competition, named Self Construction, had the aims at enhancing the space within the walls of the Ostello del Sole in San Cataldo, only 15km far from Lecce.The created installations characterized the scenario within which the new edition of the International Architecture Holiday took place, with 100 young men and women from all over the world. They were exhibited during the entire workshop and during the entire summer period.
Il concorso Self Construction Competition si pose come obiettivo quello di valorizzare lo spazio all’interno delle mura dell’Ostello del Sole sito a San Cataldo, a soli 15 km da Lecce.Le installazioni realizzate caratterizzarono lo scenario all’interno del quale si svolse la nuova edizione dell’ International Architecture Holiday, con 100 ragazzi da tutto il mondo. Queste furono esposte durante tutta la durata del workshop e durante il tutto il periodo estivo.

The goal of Leverano Horizon Tower competition was to increase the value of Leverano landscape by promoting the desig of tower observatories located close to rural tracks and roads leading from Leverano to the sea, able to reinterpret in a modern way the tradition of Salento typical towers.
Il concorso Leverano Horizon Tower si pone come obiettivo quello di valorizzare il territorio ed il paesaggio di Leverano promuovendo la progettazione di osservatori a torre posti in prossimità dei sentieri e delle strade campestri che da Leverano conducono al mare e che rileggano in chiave contemporanea il tema delle torri salentine.
