Genco Berk is an Austrian designer, who considers himself as a “World Citizen”.

Born in Istanbul, he spends his childhood in Germany and studies architecture in the United States.

Exposed to the world of art and being raised by two artists gave him a clear understanding and a thorough developed feeling to discriminate trends, allowing him to strive for unique design solutions.

He is a second-generation architect, interior designer and furniture designer with more than 30 years of experience in “High-End” residential and commercial interiors in Europe and Asia.

Since 2007 Genco Berk is designing and producing his own limited edition luxury cigar humidor series.

SUBLIME Cigar Humidor

The Sublime Cigar Humidor's design is inspired by Genco Berk's architectural background.

Its minimalistic design in combination with exclusive materials and finishes reflects the designer ’s sophisti-cated view of luxury.

This humidor is suspended between two glass sheets, and appears as it floats in air. The center piece is the humidor and stores 180-200 cigars. It is flanked on both sides by storage compartments to be used to store accessories.

The Sublime Cigar Humidor is lined inside with Spanish cedar. Your precious cigars will be stored on two levels / trays, which are produced in Spanish cedar solid veneer with laser cut-out GB logo

pattern, to allow better humidity circulation inside the humidor.

This sleek and elegant humidor is equipped with CigarSpa, the state of the art automated humidifi-cation system, which digitally displays humidity and temperature levels.

ROBUSTO Edition No.2

Robusto No.2 Cigar Humidor's design is inspired by Art Deco style, and at the same time its exterior resembles the shape of cigars. This is a limited edition humidor and only 20 in blue, 20 in gold, 20 in Byzantine Brown and 20 in black will be produced.

The humidor is lined inside with Spanish cedar and its trays are produced in Spanish Cedar solid veneer with laser cut GB logo pattern, to allow better humidity circulation within the humidor.

The bold exterior of the Robusto Edition No.2 is coated in metallic lacquer with stainless steel lid handle and GB logos on both sides in Chrome finish.

Robusto No.2 is a desktop humidor which can store 230-250 cigars on two separate levels. It is equipped with CigarSpa, the state of the art automated humidification system, which digitally displays humidity and temperature levels.

DOUBLE HAPPINESS Cigar Humidor

Double Happiness is a Chinese ligature "囍" composed of 2 Chinese characters 喜.

This ligature which is used very commonly in China and it was the source of inspiration for Genco Berk. A stylized version of this ligature in bronze metal is part of the exterior. This round shaped humidor, the symbol for infinity, is lacquer coated, and perfectly harmoniz-es with the bronze "囍" (Double Happiness) symbol.

On the top of this unique humidor, a smaller cigar case for three cigars is embedded into the lid. The case becomes a travel companion, whenever the owner decides to enjoy cigars away from home. Gently lift and detach the case and part of your favorite humidor will be always with you.

The Double Happiness can store 150-170 cigars on three levels, and it is equipped with CigarSpa, the state of the art automated humidification system, which digitally displays humidity/ temperature.

The inside is lined with Okoume veneer. Your precious cigars will be stored on trays, which are produced in Okoume solid veneer with a laser cut-out GB logo pattern, to allow better humidity circulation inside the humidor.

Know your Humidor

Purpose of a cigar humidor

Cigars are natural products and come from warm and humid regions. The growing of the tobacco and cigar production as well as storing takes place in mainly South American countries such as Cuba, Dominican Republic Honduras, Nicaragua and many other countries.

The main purpose of a cigar humidor is to store, preserve and age cigars by maintaining the optimal humidity level at room temperature. A humidor contains a humidification device that either adds or removes humidity inside the box to maintain the optimal level.

By using a humidor the precious and delicate cigars find similar stable humidity and temperature conditions as in their natural habitat. For this purpose Spanish Cedar or Oukume wood is being used for the inside lining of high quality humidors. These woods are good in keeping the right humidi-ty and through their distinct sense also to keep bugs away from cigars.

A cigar humidor is crucial also in the maturing process of the cigar. The longer a cigar is kept in a humidor; it will become more mature and develop its taste. This is achieved by absorbing the wood scents of the inner lining. It is similar to aging wines.

First Time You Use

You are almost ready to go! But before your first usage of your newly purchased humidor, there are few steps you need to pay attention.

When most people get their new humidor they are anxious to fill it up with their collection of cigars. If you do this without first re-humidifying the wood in your humidor, you will ruin your cigars. Why? The wood is kiln dried Spanish Cedar and has not had a chance to reach it's equilibrium of 68-72% humidity.

- Place a shot glass filled with distilled water on the bottom of the humidor.- Charge your humidifier and place inside the humidor. Please also read manufacturer operation manual. - Place your calibrated hygrometer inside the humidor. In case you are using CigarSpa you do not need a separate hygrometer

- Close the lid. - Check the humidity daily using the hygrometer. When it reaches the c.68% range, the wood has been properly stabilized. Note: Do NOT wipe the interior or your humidor with Water. This will ruin the wood. - Do NOT spill the water inside the humidor (and then try to spread it around)

Do NOT add any cigars to your new humidor until the relative humidity reaches 68% to 72%. This process can take 2 to 15 days depending on your climate and the size of the humidor.- To clean the outside of the humidor, please use only a dry soft cloth to gently wipe the exterior of the humidor. Some sources suggest, wiping the interior before the first use of the humidor, with an unscented sponge or clean cloth that has been dampened with distilled water.
